Bing vs. Google, explained Image
I’ll be writing more Bing vs. Google for my newsletter. In the meanwhile, enjoy this article about two other Big Tech Firms: trungphan.substack.com/p/apple-demos-…
Great chart from The Economist for search market share: for the past decade, Bing has literally just been hanging around like the fog on a bathroom mirror after a hot shower (and now it’s time to strike). Image
Here’s the origin for the “call the ambulance” meme (it’s a hall-of-fame template):
Oh, some feedback from Bing in the wild

In 1958, Warren Buffett bought this house in Omaha for $32k which he still owns (it’s now worth $650k).

If he instead slept on Charlie Munger’s couch and invested those funds into Berkshire Hathaway, it would be worth $1.2B.

Lesson: Don’t buy real estate. Image
One caveat: Buffett didn’t fully takeover Berkshire Hathaway until 1965.

Anyways, here’s the most absolute dollars Buffett’s ever made on an investment: trungphan.substack.com/p/buffetts-152…
Rough math: I took the cumulative return for Berkshire from the annual letter (up to end 2021) and multiplied it by $32k. Think it’s in the ballpark or $1.2B, though. berkshirehathaway.com/letters/2021lt… ImageImage

So inspiring that we added it to the head office for Bearly AI, my AI-powered research app.

PS. Try Bearly.AI so I can afford new ink jet for my printer (it ran out after printing that one piece of paper). Image

Japan Twitter is lit: “a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where the audience also rotates”
Animation done by Daisuke Fujikawa aka @cobalt_kura. Check out his YouTube (here’s another wild vid).

Fun fact: Japan has the 2nd most Michelin-Starred Restaurants in the world (not sure how many conveyor belt ones there are lol).

Anyways, here's a whole deep dive I did on the Michelin star system: trungphan.substack.com/p/the-michelin…
