My colleague @Pavel_Jina just sent me, few pictures with his winter charging. We know about the discussions of winter charging, optimal temperature of battery is the 🔑. We are working on it. Here is the best case scenario in winter 1/5
He is driving with rear wheel drive of Enyaq Coupe iV and what is the difference between 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel? Different battery chemistry & charging curve. We claim from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes 2/5
Pavel arrived at the #Ionity charging station with 13% SOC and the outside temp was around 5 degrees. He hit after one minute 115kW which is not bad. But we know his battery was in good temperature. 3/5
After 20 minutes the SOC is at 42% and the speed is 133kW. This was the top. Battery for 2 wheel drives is known for its flatter charging curve. 4/5
With 61% he was still nicely above 115kW charging speed. Until 80% it was possible maintain above 100kW. The car managed from 13% to 80% in 26 minutes. Battery temperature is the key. This battery is also available with 2 wheel drive #EnyaqiV. 5/5

Do you remember your first winter with Enyaq iV? I do🤖 very high consumption and low range comparing to normal temperature. What was the issue here? The battery system was optimized to heat the battery to around 10 degrees. It means that always when you start to drive 2/7
and outside temperatures were around 0 or below. The car start to heat the battery and your consumption went rocket high. This happend always when the battery went below the target temperature. So the energy was used not only for driving but also for heating the battery. 3/7

SKODA #EnyaqiV drivers are questioning when orange & red 🐢turtle is coming out and why. All is connected to a battery temperature. First you will see orange turtle, when the temperature of battery is above 0 degrees, you can experience it from below 15% SOC to 5% SOC. 1/x Image
If the temperature of battery is below 0 degrees you can see orange turtle already around 25% SOC = Limited driving speed max. to 100km/h and slower acceleration. Colder the battery and lower SOC the weaker the power output to prevent battery life cycle and longer range. 2/x Image
Red turtle is coming out when the temperature of battery is above 0 degrees and below 2% to 10% SOC. If the battery temperature is below 0 degrees you can experience it already at around 20% SOC but that would be in very cold countries. What does it mean for you? 3/x Image
