Westside to the Eastside: The exploration success on the Westside of North Slope, mainly in Torok and Nanushuk formations, was due to fortuitous discoveries. These discoveries were linked to seismic anomalies, which led to more prospectivity in the area. #PANR#PANR
The Eastside has key advantages, including proximity to Dalton Highway and the Trans Alaska Pipeline System. The Eastside also has a known world-class petroleum system, with Prudhoe Bay being the largest oil discovery in North America.
$PANR #PANR
The progradational play on the Eastside is younger but conceptually similar to the Westside. Pantheon's $80M investment in seismic allowed for the discovery of stratigraphic traps on the Eastside that were previously impossible to see. $PANR #PANR
ConocoPhillips has ordered the construction of the Doyon 26 rig, nicknamed "The Beast", to drill up its Alpine field. It can drill 6.7 miles horizontally, a record for a land-based rig. Image source in next tweet.
Major US players now own and operate their own sand mines in the Lower 48, and a dedicated sand mine in Alaska may be developed with Pantheon's assets. Sand is a crucial component in hydraulic fracking and Pantheon's land is well positioned for sand delivery. $PANR #PANR
Shipping sand from the Lower 48 to Alaska will increase well costs, but well costs can be expected to decline with scale. The $19.5M well cost estimate guided by #Panr is for a junior oil company drilling single wells and is not representative of major oil companies. $PANR
Well costs and productivity can be expected to increase with experience as the major oil companies scale up their operations. $PANR #PANR
On Gas: Gas Injection at Prudhoe Bay is operated by ConocoPhillips and is the largest water flood project in the world. Gas reinjection provides pressure support, proving gas disposal is not a problem in the region. $PANR #PANR
Natural gas is essential for producing oil from fracked wells. The pressure of gas expansion drives oil up the well, making it a crucial component for every shale oil well in the US.
$PANR #PANR
Increasing frack surface contact is key to improving well productivity. Pantheon Resources’ assets have extraordinary oil columns surrounded by oil & gas-bearing rocks, offering tremendous scope for scaling up frack intensity. $PANR #PANR
Other reservoirs may be in proximity to water-bearing rocks, creating risks for disaster if fracked. Pantheon’s future wells will be placed where increasing frack intensity will have nil reservoir risks.
$PANR #PANR
Fracks of the scale required by Pantheon’s assets will need to be specifically designed and may take on "beast-like" proportions. The goal is to increase productivity by increasing frack surface contact. $PANR #PANR
The negativity surrounding gas-to-liquids ratio is misguided - what matters is the absolute volume of liquids produced & expected ultimate liquid recoveries per well. The wells at Pantheon are calling for more intense fracking to increase productivity. $PANR #PANR
Pantheon Resources is honing in on three key assets: Theta West (1.9 billion barrels of potential recoverable resource) & Shelf Margin Deltaic (404 million barrels) are most important due to their scale. $PANR #PANR
Alkaid (79.5 million barrels) has jumped the queue due to its strong seismicity, location, and self-funding potential. Strategic value of Alkaid is specific to Pantheon & smaller farm-in partners.
$PANR #PANR
Pantheon's fortune depends on oil prices & commodity cycle. Higher oil prices combined with lack of production growth in Lower 48 will refocus interest on Alaska. Constructive outlook on oil prices.
$PANR #PANR
Shorting early-stage exploration stocks by Muddy Waters is a "fools' endeavor and not something that is often done by investors with experience in the sector." $PANR #PANR
Drilling Prudhoe Bay in 1968 was more risky than modern exploration in Alaska. Pantheon's assets are easier and obvious compared to Prudhoe Bay.
$PANR #PANR
Large US oil companies are not yet focused on growth, but it's expected to change over 2023 and 2024. Depth and quality of well inventories is not a major topic of discussion in financial media. $PANR #PANR
Investors should be encouraged by Pantheon's direction of travel and understand what really matters for the company's fortunes. Betting against Prudhoe Bay exploration would have seemed more obvious than Pantheon's assets, due to challenges of Prudhoe Bay. $PANR #PANR

Summary of the recent update by WHIreland: Providing context on recent developments & fair value estimate of 199p, adjusted to June 2022 balance sheet. #PANR $PANR
"We had been, and remain, focused mainly on the decline curve and we have yet to even establish a high-quality (peak) initial production rate. We are focused on the decline curve because we believe a large oil company that would farm
into Pantheon Resources’ assets .. #PANR $PANR
..will look to the decline curve in conjunction with an
assessment of its ability to increase the initial production rate by applying more muscle
and optimised engineering" #PANR $PANR
$PANR At current pricing, the 'Alkaid' production stream would generate approximately $40,000 per day in gross revenue once facilities are installed to separate and capture the NGLs and condensate. #PANR
In order to demonstrate potential project economics, Pantheon has developed a conceptual development model for the Alkaid anomaly (not including the shallower Shelf Margin Deltaic ("SMD") formation which is also oil bearing) based upon .. $PANR #PANR
the actual flow rates (137.5 barrels per 1000 ft of unblocked wellbore - and for conservatism ignoring potential improvements to flow rate that may arise as the well cleans up beyond its present 40%) and actual hydrocarbon mix (oil, NGLs & condensate) detailed in its .. $PANR
1) A 1,360 ft thick continuous column of oil-bearing cuttings. The actual length of the oil column is unquestionably greater than 1,360ft, as the base of the analyzed cuttings' oil column is the TD of the well, and the oil in the cuttings shows no sign of tapering off
$PANR #PANR
WHI View: "The successful casing of just over one mile of horizontal lateral represents, in our opinion, a significant achievement that essentially secures the well and thereby greatly reduces the operational risks to the well. " $PANR #PANR
"The well logs are again corroborating the geological and petrophysical (fluid) model of Pantheon Resources, which has largely been premised on the analysis of 3D seismic data. " $PANR #PANR
"In short, drilling operations have been successfully completed and the scene is now set to advance towards fracking and producing the well, with logs continuing to point towards a significant increase to the pre-drill oil in place and recoverable oil estimate." $PANR #PANR
$PANR have drilled a 5,300ft lateral... What can we expect?
I anticipated that they would drill ~5,000ft in my previous write-up, here are some highlights...
“I expect that they aim for a middle-of-the-road estimate with 5000’ lateral for Alkaid-2.” #PANRlink.medium.com/5hJAyBMoAsb
I fit the below model to follow Tele’s 80% at 8,000’ lateral, he noted this represents the baseline and we could expect the results to be higher to an 80% probability. (See Below)
For modelling Alkaid-2 I will use 5000’ laterals, this gave us a EUR of 679mbo. $PANR #PANR
In modelling out Alkaid-2 I had several reference points, which unfortunately at times didn’t match up. Being that the data is not widely available, I had to make some judgement calls about what we should think is the most likely scenario. $PANR #PANR
Alkaid #2 Well - Horizontal Lateral Target Depth Reached
Drilling operations at the Alkaid #2 horizontal well bore have now concluded, reaching a total measured depth of 14,300 feet ('ft') which includes a lateral length of 5,300 ft. #PANR $PANR
A 5 ½ inch liner has been run, set, cemented at the bottom and tested for integrity. $PANR is extremely pleased that drilling of the lateral section was accomplished smoothly and without incident.
As previously announced, future production wells will have a targeted lateral length of ~8000 ft. However, as this is #PANR first horizontal well on the NP, and to minimize operational risk and still deliver the production data needed to optimize development of the resource...
