So after that 🧾 🧵…

Who is still out here calling Vice President Kamala Devi Harris lazy and invisible?

Stop lying.

Now.

Expeditiously. Image
I am especially talking to you Mr Still Trying To Make Presidential Fetch Happen 😒

You are never going to president

You have a Jeb Bush, Nikki Haley, Ted Cruz chance of being President

Stop clout chasing off lying about the sitting Vice President Image
Your work is not invisible @VP Kamala Harris

All the Americans you’ve met on your travels across the country know your joy, perseverance and grind

You are right…

Momentum is the word
Let me leave this here in case anyone tries to say one week is not proof of her work ethic… 🧾 🧵

How about the week before last?

All the critiques about VP Kamala Harris not doing “serious interviews” miss how this convo, on “Call Her Daddy” on VP using the government to rectify the power imbalance of abuse/ control, is better than the gotcha “serious journalist” interviews
Gotcha questions are not designed to elicit thoughtful and nuanced answers

They are designed to create negative viral moments

BUT here is the thing you can have viral moments by giving people the space to give genuine, funny and heartfelt answers
The goal of an in depth interview should be to get the person to reveal themselves

If they are a good person that will come through

Conversely if they aren’t good it will show

“What did your mother instill in you?”

Imagine both candidates answering

Tell me when you see it
This is the most prolific cabinet in history

After I’m done with this thread recounting what they’ve done JUST THIS WEEK you’ll agree

Let’s start with EPA Bae

Yup he is what America is asking for 🥵

Listen to him talk about how he’s reimagined the now $11B/ year EPA’s mission

State Department Bae is BUSY!

Traveled to Europe and the Middle East to work with our allies on the ongoing conflicts and launched a new online passport renewal system!

Now you can renew your passport online and travel the world 🌍 ✈️

Let me just look at this for a sec 🥵

Omg I am crying reading this

He articulated this so well

This is how Republicans in particular disenfranchise Black voters especially in the South

Government can work for the people but Republicans break it and say the system doesn’t work so you won’t vote 😭

Vote them out
Look at what Secretary Granholm is doing over at the Department of Energy!!

Saving homeowners $$$ in energy costs!

And she has them all hype by bringing a whole Property Brother along with her!

Go to energy.gov/save
Congress established the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) in 1980

CERCLA aka Superfund allows EPA to clean up contaminated sites

Approximately a quarter of the US population lives within 3 miles of a Superfund site

EPA Bae is on it

Every Uber ride I chat with the driver

I keep it casual

Usually they are picking me up from something politics related because as a homeschooling mom those are the only times I am out

Today I met an Obama-Abstaining-Harris voter

He is enthused

I listened without judgement
The main thing I heard about not voting for Democrats was about the economy

The facts are clear

Democrats are better at the economy than Republicans BUT it doesn’t FEEL like it

I’ll get into why in a minute but here are the facts

Democrats deliver
Republicans mess up the economy and then Democrats fix it

Republicans get credit for a roaring economy and then mismanage a crisis

The cycle continues

When I was talking this through with the driver he was like, “YES!”

Talk to people

Connect the dots

Randomly Reuters talked about me in an article

I am not here to criticize the press response

Rather I want to offer some context

DNC content creators like me did not fall out of a coconut tree

“Cuz none of us live in a silo. Everything is in context.”

🧵
Reuters dedicated two paragraphs to me juxtaposed to how legacy media felt about content creators

For the press to understand our grind I’ll tackle:

1) The Thirst For Democracy Fund

2) Laughing with Senator Bae

3) Posing with Future Speaker Bae’s aide

1) The Thirst For Democracy Fund

April 25th 2023 Biden-Harris launched their campaign and we started THIRSTraising #BaeBucks

The tagline was “Putting the Fun Back In Fundraising”

Our MO is JOY!

We’ve raised $175k and counting

My favorite thing is your comments 🫶🏿👇🏿

Just a couple of the yard signs I saw on my walk to the library with my son

#KamalaWinsWithJoy ✨ Image
I cannot tell you how many smiles I got wearing this shirt

One lady stopped me and was like, “That’s when Kamala graduated! From high school?”

Her husband: “No college. From Howard.”

And MORE SIGNS!
Look at the signs!!!! #KamalaWinsWithJoy
