The America Project has paid the most to Cyber Ninjas, the Florida-based cybersecurity company tasked with leading the “audit,” and has even been promoted by the audit itself. The 501(c)(4) nonprofit is run by former CEO Patrick Byrne Overstock.com
"One America News’s Christina Bobb runs a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization called Voices & Votes, which has paid $605,000 for the audit. Bobb routinely tweets about the fundraising effort and frequently mentions her nonprofit during her broadcasts, urging supporters to donate."
"The America Project is behind the “Fund the Audit” effort. It was among the entities tied to the election review that were permanently suspended from Twitter- with the official Arizona Audit Twitter account and an account dubbed the “Audit War Room,” "
Ken Bennett, the Senate’s official "liaison to the election review, and others who controlled the official Twitter account for the Senate’s audit promoted the Fund The Audit effort.
According to WaPo, Bennett was told to promote the fund by Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan. "
"The group that raised the second largest sum - is named America’s Future. While it might not be well-known, the 501(c)(3)’s leader is: Gen. Michael Flynn - who has been a vocal proponent of QAnon and was seen in the “Deep Rig” movie wearing a bracelet with a QAnon slogan"
"Defending the Republic, a 501(c)(4) run by disgraced lawyer Sidney Powell, has paid $550,000 to Cyber Ninjas for the “audit” work.
The group came under fire in Florida, with the state alleging it was illegally raising money without being registered."
"Defending the Republic is not the only group tied to Powell that raised money for the “audit” effort.
The Legal Defense Fund for the American Republic, or LDFFTAR, was created by the Election Integrity Funds for the American Republic, or EIFFTAR."
"Its website claims that it is raising money for a variety of purposes, including the Arizona election review, litigation in Georgia and Pennsylvania, an investigation in Michigan and a “Cyber Election Fraud” investigation fund."
"America's Future appears to have been associated with the Phyllis Schlafly Eagles and was run by Missouri politician and former Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin."
America's future paid Cyber Ninjas more than $976,000. It says it aims to fight “communism” and preserve “Judeo-Christian values” for future generations. The organization lists The America Project as one of its partners, along with the far-right anti-LGBT Phyllis Schlafly Eagles.
"Tracy Diaz, known online by Tracy Beanz, told her followers in a now deleted Telegram post that she sat on the board of America’s Future.
“In full disclosure – I sit on the board of America’s future,” Diaz said."
"Joseph J. Flynn, brother of Michael Flynn, also is on the board of directors. He appeared in the “Deep Rig” (which was produced by Byrne) film alongside his brother, Byrne and members of the Arizona audit team.
Joseph Flynn has also signaled his support of QAnon in the past"
Bobb was also given exclusive access to Bennett and the audit site.
Christina Bobb's "voices and votes" "has also been raising money for other “audit” efforts in other states,
Bobb has been involved with Arizona’s election efforts since before the election audit, as well."
And to reiterate
"Ken Bennett, the Senate’s official liaison to the election review, and others who controlled the official Twitter account for the Senate’s audit promoted the Fund The Audit.
Bennett was told to promote the fund by Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan"
So now, this report comes out
"Trump secretly donated $1m to discredited Arizona election ‘audit’"
"watchdog group Documented has traced funding for the Arizona audit back to Trump’s Save America Pac. The group tracked the cash as it passed from Trump’s fund through an allied conservative group,-
-and from there to a shell company which in turn handed the money to contractors and individuals involved in the Arizona audit"
"Cyber Ninjas, the Florida-based company that led the Arizona audit, disclosed in 2021 that $5.7m of its budget came from several far-right groups invested in the “stop the steal” campaign to overturn Joe Biden’s presidential victory. It was later divulged that a further $1m-
-had supported the audit from an account controlled by Cleta Mitchell, a Republican election lawyer who advised Trump as he plotted to subvert the 2020 election."
"Bill Gates, the Republican vice-chair of the Maricopa county board of supervisors at the time of the Cyber Ninjas audit, said he was “disappointed, but not surprised” by the Guardian’s revelation that Trump had helped to pay for it."
👀
"Gates pointed out that under Arizona law, electoral candidates are not allowed to fund vote recounts which have to be financed with taxpayer dollars. Though the Cyber Ninjas review was technically not a recount, it served a similar purpose."
"Republican leaders of the Arizona senate who asked Cyber Ninjas to carry out the audit also publicly denied that Trump was involved, saying “this absolutely has nothing to do with Trump”.
Documented’s analysis pierces through that denial"
"Basing its research on corporate, tax and campaign finance filings, as well as emails and text messages obtained by the non-partisan accountability group American Oversight through public records requests, the watchdog has followed the money"
"In September of that year, Republicans in the Pennsylvania Senate launched a “forensic investigation” of the state’s 2020 election results. That same month, a Cyber Ninjas ally wrote, in a message we obtained, that “PA will be one of the next domino’s [sic] to fall,”"
"Logan (Cyber asshole) also hinted at the possibility of more “audits” in a June 2021 email about funding: “Have we had any more money come into TAP?” Logan asked Sanders, likely referring to the America Project. “Is it just being allocated to the next audit, or is "
The federal grand jury subpoenas were issued to Senate President Warren Petersen, Sen. Sonny Borrelli and House Speaker Ben Toma. And at least one former state senator, Michelle Ugenti-Rita, who led the Senate’s Election .
Committee in 2021, received a subpoena. All four have been ordered to produce records and travel to Washington, D.C., to testify
"The subpoena also seeks all communications with Trump or his campaign. It also specifies 18 different campaign employees, attorneys and surrogates: Kenneth Chesebro, Justin Clark, Joe DiGenova, John Eastman, Jenna Ellis, Boris Epshteyn, Rudy Giuliani, Bernard Kerik,-
Bruce Marks, Cleta Mitchell, Matthew Morgan, Kurt Olsen, William Olson, Sidney Powell, Bill Stepien, Victoria Toensing, James Troupis and L. Lin Wood"
"Borrelli, Petersen, Toma and Ugenti-Rita are not the first Arizona officials to be subpoenaed by the Justice Department in connection to Trump’s effort to convince GOP officials in battleground states he lost to overturn the election results in a bid to retain power."
"In November, officials in Maricopa County were among the first to receive subpoenas from Smith’s office.
And before Smith was appointed late last year, the FBI subpoenaed at least two Republican state senators — then-President Karen Fann and Kelly Townsend — as part of its-
investigation into Trump’s pressure campaign to overturn the 2020 election."
"the curious line of identically-sized contributions disclosed in FEC reports and tax filings paints a plausible picture of a path for lawyers working in Georgia to have received similar funds from Trump’s PAC."
"On June 15, 2021, a little over a month before its Conservative Partnership Institute donation, Trump’s Save America committee contributed $1 million to America First Policy Institute, -
- a nonprofit think tank that has been described as “the largest pro-Trump operation launched after his presidency.” The contribution was the single largest expenditure that Save America made in the first half of 2021."
"On its own 2021 tax return, Citizens United Foundation also reported making a $1 million grant, but it didn’t go to a nonprofit group. Instead, Citizens United Foundation gave $1 million to the Georgia-based -
- Cheeley Law Group, LLC for “election integrity litigation.” Citizens United Foundation also reported giving $300,000 to Conservative Partnership Institute for “election integrity programs.”"
"Cheeley has also appeared as a lawyer representing Cathy Latham, who CNN described as “a former GOP chairwoman of Coffee County who is under criminal investigation for posing as a fake elector in 2020.” It’s certainly possible that Save America’s $1 million contribution to -
America First Policy Institute supported other activities, such as Trump’s July 2021 lawsuit against social media companies. Which served as a fundraising tool for both his PAC and America First Policy Institute, Trump claimed he was working “in conjunction” with the think tank"
