3/ Dookey Dash, on the other hand, was not a game about skill. Despite what many in the web3 space may say, it was a game about mere repetitiveness.
4/ The more you did, the higher your chances of success. There was no skill involved in trying to maneuver around in Dookey Dash, it simply rewarded those who put in more time.
5/ In World of Warcraft, players have to consider factors such as character builds, addons, and theorycrafting to optimize their individual gameplay.
6/ Player intuition is also huge in these games. Knowing how to be two steps ahead of the timing in your cooldowns, anticipating incoming damage in a boss fight, and optimally using defensive cooldowns proactively can make all the difference in a player's performance.
7/ Skill in these games is not just about following what a gameplay tutorial recommends, it's about mastering player intuition.
This is what sets players with great skill apart in many competitive games.
8/ In these games, teamwork is also crucial. Players have to communicate, coordinate, and understand each other's strengths and weaknesses to progress through the game and develop their skills as a team.
9/ Repetition can be a useful tool for players to get better at performing a task or action, but in MMORPGs and MOBAs, it's just one piece of the puzzle.
10/ So, while repetition can help improve a player's performance, it's not the determining factor in attaining mastery in games.
Critical thinking, decision making, intuition, and teamwork are what set these games apart and develop real skill in players. #gaming#videogames

Blockchain can revolutionize gaming with transparency, security, and decentralization.
But many overlook the potential issues it can create for gamers and developers.
Let's explore these challenges and view them from their perspectives👇🧵:
1/11: Blockchain technology has created new possibilities for online gaming.
Players could potentially bring objects from other games into other games.
However, this system poses a significant risk for both the player and the developer.
2/11: One of the major problems with this system is that it is unworkable.
The blockchain technology that allows players to bring in objects from other games is new and untested, and the potential for bugs and glitches could create significant problems.
Played @PlayInkbound's demo which is a turn-based rogue like game with procedurally generated dungeons developed by @ShinyShoeGames.
I thought that this unique style of gameplay was so engaging.
The characters and gameplay are well designed:
1/ The story is incredibly immersive. From the narrative to the vivid and colorful characters you encounter.
2/The game functions around carefully using abilities as they use a resource called Will (blue), and strategically moving around to increase your survivability while conserving this Will which gets reduced as you move.
Moving to a blue pulsating circle rewards you with Will! 👀
