Pleasantly surprised to see that Gov He/Him from Utah didn’t cave on this
Cox veto'd a trans sports ban and was overridden and worked with the state medical licensing board to ban trans "conversion therapy" after the legislature pulled that provision from a bill that ended up banning gay conversion therapy
So that he didn't take pains to be seen doing "the right thing" on pediatric gender transition -- recently revealed by a Missouri whistleblower to be a madhouse -- but instead signed the bill into law maybe tells us something about where the Overton Window is

As the "right wing onslaught" against "trans kids" (i.e. denying access to a pediatric drug protocol that didn't exist prior to 2009 that has no evidence to support its safety or efficacy after Sweden, Finland, and the UK have banned or curtailed it) picks it up speed

This kind of question-begging is what drives all the derangement. You assume the thing that is meant to be investigated because you've classified the fundamental question, "What and who is trans?" as beyond the pale precisely in order to evade its own circularity.
Therefore you ban exploration of the underlying factors that may manifest as trans ideation in the midst of a social contagion driven by impossible promises made to youths with multiple mental health comorbidities by online communities and influencers as "conversion therapy"
Diagnose all those comorbidities as caused by non-affirmed trans identity, and thus treat dosing mentally ill kids with cross-sex hormones as a magical cure-all for the vicissitudes of adolescence. It is perhaps the most insidious sophistry ever devised

I’m a relative latecomer to this issue. But as soon as I realized it was all going to unravel totally, I said it as often and as emphatically as I could. There is still a long way to go, but an important milestone has been reached.
Still really don’t know if the full spectrum institutional coup that allowed this madness to become entrenched in the first place can be undone. If not, it won’t be because those in a position to reverse course weren’t made aware.
The key point is that the total unraveling of the pediatric medical transition issue will have no bearing on the odious misinformation being taught to millions of schoolchildren unless we ensure that it does
