1/ The leadership crisis in Africa emanates from a convolution of governance & politics. We have dysfunctional political values, that place hope & change in the hands of persons who want to run for political power. There is a difference between an elected 'leader' & a leader.
2/ We tend to confuse these two. We forget that a 'non-leader' can be elected. We have plenty useless & inept people in elected seats who have failed to deliver to the electorate. Sadly, most of these continue to be voted for every electoral year. #FarceElectoralDemocracy
3/ We got so excited by colonial hangover, adopted everything left behind by the western colonizers & never bothered to create our own systems that actually work in our context as Afrikan countries. The colonizers left us with a farce & grand fiction called "Electoral Democracy"
4/ We have never investigated what that word means. Perhaps we tend to think that elections are what democracy is. What is so special in an election? Nothing. In fact, everything is wrong with elections. Elections are a 'formality'. #FarceElectoralDemocracy
5/ The notions of formalities are noble fictions that were prevalent in the Roman style leadership, which is the culture of our former colonial masters. When they were going about colonizing, they even brought up another fiction called 'doctrine of discovery'. #DecolonizeAfrika
6/ This is where the colonizer would 'discover' something that the native interacted with every day. One Dr Krapf 'discovered' Mt Kenya. These fictions & concepts were used to JUSTIFY certain actions that would otherwise be unjustifiable. The absurdity of it is really perplexing.
7/ Why would someone evict someone out of their ancestral land? If it is not sheer evilness, then it was meant 'to pave way for modernity'. Now, with that grand rationalization, people buy the fiction & miss the brainwash. We are victims of the many fictions that we call reality.
8/ We are unable to interrogate them & to cease practicing/believing/normalizing them, because we don't even know that there are such things. Or we know but are just fearful of changing what we assume to be real. We are then deceived and shortchanged.
9/ We focus so much on the promise forgeting the immediate reality. We wonder why some things don't work & we blame ourselves unaware that it's not us who are the problem but the tools we use to achieve what we want to achieve. We cannot achieve true democracy through elections.
10/ Elections have become a huge circus All sorts of selfish people gather citizens to have the best liar rewarded. Once the best liars are rewarded they leave the stage & you're left staring at an empty stage wishing the play would go according to the script you had in your head
11/ Democracy has many meanings. Depending on where it is being used. In essence, it seeks to bring together all voices & to address everyone's problems & grievances. Is that the case with electoral democracy? Does it seem to make your voice heard? Your grievances aired?
12/ Your ideas listened to & implemented?
NO
It lies to you that your voice is exercised in the ballot, for you to choose someone whose voice will replace yours.
Think about it!
Be wise, open your mind & start interrogating things
1/ Zvekumhepo zvinochengetwa nevari kumhepo, zvemumvura zvinochengetwa nevari mumvura uye zvemuvhu zvinochengetwa nevari muvhu. @ZANUPF_Official doomsday is nigh, mineral resources & land that belongs to the native Zimbabwean mapedza kupa maChinese nemaRussians. #Chimurenga3
2/ Youths of this generation you are sleeping on laurels, one day you will wake up & be strangers in your own country. It is not surprising that our country is being mortgaged slowly. Why do we need unending loans when we have vast mineral resources? #MindaKumaYouthOse
3/ We recognize the significance of the liberation struggle & the contributions of the war veterans who waged it. I'm not ignorant of the reasons that drove many gallant sons & daughters of the soil to fight exclusion, oppression & repression to ensure a free sovereign state.
1/ While we are focusing on drug dealers & peddlers, we should put in the same effort to stop the collaboration between criminals at our bus stops @ some unscrupulous @PoliceZimbabwe officials who look away while travellers are being robbed. #LawEnforcementZW
2/ Zimbabwe’s crime hot spots are bus stops & bus ranks where we catch our long distance buses. The biggest criminals are the touts that take advantage of innocent travellers by insulting, harassing & assaulting these innocent travellers. #LawEnforcementZW
3/ Over the years, the issue of touts has made headlines. On the 3rd of October 2017, Mathias Gore’s family was plunged into mourning, when their breadwinner died after being assaulted by touts while he was trying to board a bus to Mutare en-route to Mozambique near Roadport...
1/ If one has not been in mainstream activism & politics it is quite easy to rubbish facts because of ignorance. Verily much that is consumed by the public worldwide is always a script. Yes, it is always hard to prove with evidence in intelligence operations. #Nomore
2/ Covert operations conceal every inch but l have studied enough about CIA operations post World War 2 to an extent of being able to tell their footprints even in grotesquely clandestine operations, economic hitmen projects, destabilization projects that include assassinations.
3/ I learnt how operations were carried out in various countries from their confessions. I am well versed with their patterns. Zimbabwe is country of Strategic interest to US.
Their effort to capture it started in 1963 when they created ZANU with M15 to thwart USSR backed ZAPU.
1/ Africa has been in a prison of INDOCTRINATION for over 400 years & BRAINWASHED by a sad miseducation system and divided by RELIGION and DESTROYED by SLAVERY. Our SELF-DETERMINATION was stolen & we are just like headless chicken running to the east & west with begging bowls.
2/ BECAUSE OF INDOCTRINATION;
1. We ask for things we already have in our backyard. Our governments keep on borrowing money from IMF, WORLD BANK, CHINESE LOANS when in actual sense we have all resources to acquire these funds .
3/ 2. LACK OF KNOWLEDGE
We have the best climate, the best soils under the sun for agriculture and we can feed the entire globe but our people wallow in the dire poverty, destitution and die in hunger.
1/ We all know that these are grants disguised as loans, later on we will hear that the loans have been written off. This is just an act of disguised corruption to abuse taxpayers funds. They were give 50000 USD car loans which they haven't even paid back half of it.
2/ With only 8 months to the next election how will they pay back the so called loans? What if one is not re-elected how will that money be recovered?
Let us also not forget that these elected officials should be prioritizing the welfare of those who elected them into office.
3/ Does an ordinary citizen or civil servant have access to a 40000usd, 350000usd or 500000usd loan?
Once the electorate realize that voting for someone is a stepping stone to loan benefits, it will aid voter apathy and diminish the value of our parliament.
1/ Our Solidarity message to the people of Palestine as LEAD is clear.
Every person has the right to life. We have been watching with sorry and heavy
hearts the massacre of the people of Palestine by the state of Israel. #PalestineDay
2/ The Israel Government has not been remorseful, they continue to justify bombings, gruesome murder, torture & incarceration of Palestinians including children.
Since 1948 the Palestinian people have known no peace of mind and continue to be
subjected to ethnic cleansing ...
3/...through displacement. It is sad to note that US backing

Palestinian scholar Hanan Ashrawi described Israel's assault on Gaza as
