Learn 10x better than your current method.
Technique by a Nobel laureate which can help you ace any exam.
A 🧵 with an example to understand
Richard Feynman was a Nobel prize winner!
He developed a unique learning technique which has become known as the "Feynman Technique."
It is a simple 5-step method which you can also master.
Step 1: Write the topic
Pick up a pen and write down the topic you want to learn. Your brain is more stimulated when you write. Write whatever you know currently which might even be nothing.
Step 2: Research & Study
Break down the topic into its essential elements i.e. what is the main concept, why it is like that and why it is relevant.
Make it as simple as possible and maybe make a mind-map for the same.
Now study the topic in breadth and depth.
Step 3: Teach
Explain the topic in simple words as if you were teaching it to 10 year old child or someone who knows nothing about the subject.
This forces you to simplify complex ideas and get to the heart of what you're trying to learn.
Alternately, if your subject is too complex i.e. of masters level:
- Make a video teaching the topic
- Try to explain to a novice i..e someone who doesn't know anything abt the topic.
- Show it to a friend and let him ask questions as a student
Step 4: Critique your teaching/video
Make an honest assessment on how you performed in the teaching.
- How well were you able to explain the topic
- Where were you confused/lacked clarity?
- Where did you turn to jargons?
Basically, find gaps in your understanding
Step 5: Return to topic & Re-strengthen
- Simplify your explanations, draw diagrams
- Create analogies to learn
- Ask yourself questions as you do this.
This will help you identify areas where you need to improve your understanding.
Once you do all the above, you will have a deeper and more meaningful understanding of a subject.
- We are trying to learn the 'right to equality' - a fundamental right in the Indian Constitution
- Write down the right in your own words, using simple language.
For example, "Every citizen has the right to be treated equally under the law."
-Break down the right into smaller, more specific concepts.
For example,
- What does it mean to be treated equally under the law?
- What are some examples of situations where this right might be violated?
Read and find all facets of right to equality:
- What Articles? 14-18
- Meaning of Rule of law
- Equality before the law
- Equal protection of the law
- Prohibition of discrimination
- Citizens vs Non-citizens
- Exceptions to right to equality
- Case laws
Now, teach all these topics in simple language and in brief to a friend or make a video
- Critique what you are not clear about.
- Find questions that can be asked on your explanation
-Repeat the process with each of the other fundamental rights

I have seen a lot of success in life. But before every success there was a 'fear of failure' to win over.
A thread on developing mindsets to overcome fear of failure.
A 🧵
👉Fear of failure while starting
Decide to start the task thinking that you r going to fail. But put your best effort & heart into it. In other words,do the task to fail! Stop thinking of results, just try to start AND finish. You will see that you will actually work better!
👉Fear of failure while doing something
Think of the worst case. A batchmate wanted to quit MBA from IIM as she feared failing an exam & not being able to complete. Worst case was anyways that. She tried & won. Quitting is the same as failing. So might as well try
But there is something called 'Dopamine Addiction'!

I was a trader before becoming an IAS officer. Small note on how fear hinders trading and ways to overcome it
A 🧵
Fear can hinder trading in several ways.
First, fear of losses can lead to inaction, causing traders to avoid making trades altogether. This can prevent them from taking advantage of potential opportunities and can result in missed profits.
Second, fear can lead to impulsive decision-making, causing traders to make rash, emotional decisions that are not based on sound analysis. This can increase the chances of making mistakes and can result in additional losses.
