Readers will be angry because of its implications for all abuse scandals. The author doesn’t downplay gay abuse scandals being 90% of abuse unlike American media because he is a progressive pro-gay but wants to focus on hypocrisy of gay homophobes in the church

The higher one goes in the hierarchy, the gayer it is. One insider estimates the Vatican to be 80% gay. This has implications for promotions, which we will see later. Pope Francis’ Synod on the Family was run by “the most open and gay-friendly cardinals”.

The gay friendly author notes how rare hetero abuse scandals are, “very rarely girls”. Cover ups happen because what if a bishop or archbishop’s is outed as collateral damage??? It’s a club. Every gay looks out for each other in the hierarchy unless plotting against them

That is a constant throughout the book. Ideological battles and even pro/anti gay rhetoric is gay vs gay. The author explains how the most pro-gay Vatican figures are the straight members. One wonders if that is a requirement for a heterosexual to advance.

A cardinal does recognize they’ve lost against secular modernism. Very sad as a strong faith is needed now for those who still believe and see the corrosive effects of modernity. He is busy trying to be friendlier to the LGBT community, disregarding believers’ needs

A clique of progressive cardinals wanted a progressive successor to JPII in the ‘90s. They had to wait decades but Francis became their guy. They were not plotters, just a group of friends meeting. No Conspiracy!

Despite all this, the author says there is no gay lobby. It’s just a network of gays looking out for each other. It’s not a lobby; it’s a cabal. People don’t need a lobby when they run the place!

This leads to financial problems too. Corruption and illicit use of funds are tied to gay activities.

Catholics suffer as this gay cabal runs the church. They suffer consequences of mismanaged funds, abused children, insults from everyone else and a sense that the institution does not care one damn bit. With gays’ numerical dominance, lay people cannot unseat them.

If you want to know why Catholics will never allow married men to become priests (not the conversion loophole), this thread answers it. The gay clique would lose power, have rivals they CANNOT blackmail, have superiors who wouldn’t be on the team, etc. They’d rather rule ashes.
