“China supports Iran in safeguarding national sovereignty” and “resisting unilateralism and bullying,” and promises to “work together on issues involving each other’s core interests,”
- Xi Jinping during Iranian President Raisi's visit to China
In a joint statement China & Iran agreed to accelerate bilateral cooperation plans, and join in various multilateral frameworks. They agreed on cooperation between their militaries at all levels & in various fields, & to expand the scale of joint exercises & personnel training.
Iran joining BRICS is on the table as well.
It is critical to note that China & Iran are de facto parties to Russia's illegal and genocidal war of extermination against the Ukrainian nation and people.
All three share the common goal of undermining liberal international order.
It is ABUNDANTLY clear that there is a true axis of evil growing between these, and other rogue and evil regimes in the world.
We should be under no illusions: their intention is to upend the western-led intl security order.
Our governments MUST protect us and fight this.
It should be made clear to all citizens of the free word:
If Russia isn't resoundingly defeated and crushed, we are looking at the prospect of a new world order where true pure evil will hold a tremendous amount of power and change our world for the worse in every possible way.
"Why should my tax dollars go to supporting Ukraine against Russia? Our economy matters more!"
If you want a functioning eocnomy, you need a stable nation & world. A new Axis of Evil with the likes of Moscow, Tehran, and Beijing at the helm with create total chaos & instability.
Every single American needs to know that Ukraine is truly defending the free world right now - the entire US-led international security order. Like your place in the world? Then fight WITH Ukraine to defend it!!

NATO's intervention in Ukraine would be absolutely legitimate and lawful:
- As a permanent member of the UNSC, Russia is unlawfully preventing any effective action of the Security Council under the UN Charter to restore peace in Ukraine and prevent further humanitarian crisis.
- On March 2, 2022, the United Nations General Assembly, in a vote with overwhelming support, recognized Russia's war as unlawful and demanded that Moscow immediately completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from Ukraine.
The myth of "negotiated peace" with Russia needs to die. It is NEVER going to happen. There can be absolutely no negotiations with Russia. Only total military and political defeat. After its humiliating and annihilating defeat, the terms of LOSS are to be imposed on Russia.
What the hell will be "negotiated" with Russia? Spell it out exactly. What shall be negotiated if Russia is defeated? What?
All this nonsense of "negotiated peace after the war is ended on the battlefield" sounds like cover for UKRAINIAN CONCESSIONS to Russia. No f*cking way.
There is so much dishonesty packed into the goal of "negotiations after Ukrainian liberation". It means that there is no intention of defeating Russia, only pushing it out of Ukraine at best - and there aren't credible military analysts who think that's going to happen soon.
I have drafted and redrafted this tweet more times than I can count now...
The ever growing list of Ukrainian casualties - defenders killed in action, civilians killed in their homes, in hospitals, at schools by savage Russian barbarians... It's just too damn much.
Ukraine is literally losing its best people, there is an actual GENOCIDE - an active war of extermination - against the Ukrainian nation and people. The country is being decimated by Russia.
Ukrainians are paying the highest price to defend Ukraine and the entire free world.
We speak of how grateful Ukraine should be for the slow-trickle of inadequate support as Ukrainians are used a shield for NATO nations. How about instead of demanding all this gratitude from Ukrainians, we start expressing OUR gratitude for their courage & saving the free world?
News of Chinese state owned enterprises operating in Russia to help wage war against Ukraine should finally kill narrative that China and Russia are not in a partnership.
They share the common goal if upending the western-led intl order. Of course Beijing is helping Moscow!!
The reports that China is providing Russia with “non-lethal” military and economic assistance should also help FINALLY disabuse people of the notion that without western connections that Russia will lose its ability to continue to wage war. This has always been a naive hope.
A full int’l economic embargo is a critical step to plug holes in the sanctions regime, as is the recognition that Russia sees its war against Ukraine also as a war against the West. RU is forming a new Axis of Evil w/ regimes like Iran, North Korea, China. We cannot ignore this.
It is 100% false and grossly unethical to say that Russia's war of aggression started in Feb 2022.
Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014. It has been waging that SAME war of aggression EVER SINCE.
ONE war. NINE years.
Donetsk Int'l Airport, destroyed by Russia, November 2014👇
January 24, 2015. Russian attack on the city of Mariupol caused mass casualties. Germany said "no red lines had been crossed" in this unprovoked attack on civilians. Not ONE Western sanction was imposed.
2015. 2015. 2015. 2015. 2015.
May 28, 2014. Ukrainian students hide in school basement during Russian shelling of Sloviansk, Ukraine.
The idea that Russia, in a sufficiently weakened state, will be forced into a position where it will negotiate a real peace deal is pure fantasy thinking.
F A N T A S Y.
Anything but total military & political defeat of Russia means only a temporary pause on Russian aggression.
Russia has no history of honouring peace agreements or international law. There is no negotiated position that it will not exploit and/or violate - it is only a matter of how long it will take before Moscow strikes again after ANY negotiated agreement.
We must stop ignoring that negotiated agreement necessarily means “win-win”. We do not negotiate win-lose outcomes. This isn’t how negotiated agreements work. So in EVERY scenario in which we envisage a “negotiated settlement” w/ RU we, necessarily envisage Ukrainian concession.
