.@RepMTG boasted last week about her performance during a classified briefing on the shooting down of the ‘Chinese Spy Balloon,’ saying “I chewed ‘em out” and “tore ‘em to pieces.” A democratic lawmaker who attended has since come forward to set the record straight. (Thread)

According to @RepCohen, Greene’s behavior was a “cringey shitshow.” “She made a total absolute fool of herself. And didn’t know what she was talking about,” Cohen said. Cohen said he deliberately stayed for the entire meeting in part to document every bit of her insane behavior.

Cohen said Greene berated officials, stating “You embarrassed the president. You let this balloon fly over the United States. We didn’t know what was in that balloon. It could have been nuclear material or radiation and you let it fly over our country for eight days?” (It was 4)

Greene shouted at officials including a NORAD General: “That was just bullshit! And I don’t believe anything you’re telling us now,” Cohen said. The balloon flew over the U.S. for 4 days and the briefers explained it wasn’t shot down earlier due to the risks posed to civilians.

When one of the officials attempted to respond to Greene’s comments, she screamed at him, Cohen said. But the official was done taking it. “He said, ‘Ma’am, I didn’t interrupt you and I appreciate your not interrupting me.’ And she shut up,” Cohen added. “But she’s unbelievable.”

The fact that this insane insurrectionist is the face of the Republican Party in 2023 and they saw fit to not only restore her Committee assignments but place her on both the Oversight and Accountability AND Homeland Security Committees says everything about the state of the @GOP

She needs to be expelled and prosecuted for her role in January 6th along with at least a dozen of her colleagues. I’ve written countless threads on the bottomless pit of treasonous ignominious disgrace that is @RepMTG. Here’s one:

.@RepMTG also perjured herself DOZENS OF TIMES during her testimony in the case we brought against her attempting to remove her from the ballot in her GA district on the grounds that she was disqualified under the 14th Amendment but the GOP-appointed judge let her remain on.
