1- As a retired educator, I am especially angered by what the red states are trying to do to destroy our public schools. We know public schools are on the GOP’s hit list. #DemVoice1 #ProudBlue #FreshResists 
2- We also know fascism flourishes when people are ignorant. So the less educated people are, the more likely they are to vote Republican. For example, I live in a purple state. But the area of the state I live in has many top-notch colleges & universities. My area votes blue.
3- Whitewashing America’s racial and genocidal history while ignoring the struggles of women and gays further empowers straight white male supremacy. This is most definitely a goal of the GOP!
4- Rightwing billionaires are now funding “Liberty” and “Freedom” groups to attack and take over public school boards, seeking to impose a gender-bigoted, white supremacist, and anti-science curriculum.
5- Steve Bannon and other rightwing personalities have been aggressively encouraging their followers to run for public school boards and, where they don’t win, to show up at every meeting to harass the members.
6- If you’re a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or even just a concerned citizen, please take the time to get involved and to show up at your local school board. We must ALL fight together to save our public schools. Every single child deserves a free and a good education!
