1- Those with lower levels of education tend to be drawn to conspiracy theories. The reason isn’t necessarily because they are not intelligent. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue#FreshResists
2- But many have not been allowed to have, or haven't been given the tools to allow them to differentiate between good sources and bad sources or credible sources and non-credible sources.
3- Learning to think critically is one of the most important skills that children will need for the future. In today’s rapidly changing world, children need to be able to do much more than memorize and repeat a list of facts.
4- They must be critical thinkers who can make sense of information, analyze, compare, contrast, make inferences, and generate higher order thinking skills.

1- Over 580,000 individuals are experiencing homelessness in the United States. an increase of over 2,000 people since the last complete census conducted in 2020. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue#FreshResists

3- 60% of those experiencing homelessness are male, though unsheltered homelessness rose by 5% among women and girls. More than a quarter of those experiencing homelessness were with their families, including children.
1- 🧵Republicans only do for THEMSELVES, to become richer and more powerful. They have no intention of ever working cooperatively with the democrats for a government that works smoothly in the best interest of the American people. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue#FreshResists
2- Can you name one positive thing Republicans have done? Remember the hundreds of newly proposed bills that were stacked up on Mitch McConnell’s desk, being held for political game playing and not for any legitimate reasons?
3-And remember how Mitch McConnell refused to allow a vote on appointing Merrick Garland as a SCOTUS justice? That is nothing more than political game playing!
Why are we paying the generous salaries and benefits for such selfish & useless people?
1- 🧵Let’s talk about just a few of the things Trump accomplished.
He was the 1st President in history to serve a full term and increase the deficit every year he was in office.
He had the most new unemployment claims. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue#FreshResists
2- First major party candidate in half a century to lose the popular vote twice. He had the longest government shutdown in history (and he did that while his own party controlled both chambers of Congress) First President to be impeached twice.
3- The most indictments, guilty pleas, & criminal convictions of members of an administration.
He wasted millions on golfing, with much of that going back to into his own pockets. He wasted billions on an wall that’s already falling over.
1- As a retired educator, I am especially angered by what the red states are trying to do to destroy our public schools. We know public schools are on the GOP’s hit list. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue#FreshResists
2- We also know fascism flourishes when people are ignorant. So the less educated people are, the more likely they are to vote Republican. For example, I live in a purple state. But the area of the state I live in has many top-notch colleges & universities. My area votes blue.
3- Whitewashing America’s racial and genocidal history while ignoring the struggles of women and gays further empowers straight white male supremacy. This is most definitely a goal of the GOP!
1- 🧵 “The American people expect their leaders to govern in a way that puts their needs above all else, and that is what we need to do now,” Biden said in a statement after McCarthy was (finally!) elected Speaker. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue
2- “As I said after the midterms, I am prepared to work with Republicans when I can and voters made clear that they expect Republicans to be prepared to work with me as well,” Biden continued.
3- Biden noted his January 4th trip to Kentucky with Senate Minority Leader McConnell, to discuss his bipartisan infrastructure law, as an example of what can be accomplished through collaboration.
1- 🧵When I was studying for my degree in School Administration, one very important assignment was to read MLK’s “Letter From the Birmingham Jail.” Initially, I wondered what it had to do with being a school administrator. #DemVoice1#ProudBlue
2- But as I read and reflected, I remembered the great message: We, as leaders, and as humans, have a moral responsibility to break unjust laws & to take direct action instead of waiting potentially forever for justice to come through the courts!
3- King directed his message to 2 audiences. The first audience was King's fellow clergy; his unintended audience was the apathetic people of the U.S. He wanted to expose citizens to the injustice of racial inequality & persuade them to stop discriminating based on race.
