"You are x type of Dr, you can't strike"
All types of care are included in the strike. GP trainees, Emergency and Critical Care - you can strike.

"You need to tell us whether or not you're coming in"
You do not have to tell anyone whether or not you will be taking strike action. Employers should plan for all junior doctors to be on strike.
Contact your local BMA representative for support if they get insistent.

"You'll lose your annual leave/we'll dock your pay if you associate with the strike"
If you are on leave during strike days, you must be paid. They don't get to dictate what you do on annual leave. You can come to protests and pickets.

@BMA_JuniorDocs will not take action that puts your visa or right to remain at risk. You will have to tell your sponsor about taking strike action, but this will not affect your status in any way

This is a threat. Your union has your back. Get things written down:

Public sector pay is a political AND industrial question. Government can afford £1bn - they just had a surprise £5.4bn tax surplus, they've written off many times that on fraud PPE. They can afford #PayRestoration, and they can't afford not to.

We all deserve #PayRestoration. Doctors are not rolling in money. On £14-28 an hour, with professional expenses, debt and often no access to family childcare; many doctors are hard up.
Our dispute is not with nurses and it isn't a zero sum game.
