I got some work done so here's a short thread on this whole "Chinese interference with Canadian elections," a sudden shift from the Emergencies Act report result. :p
1) This is not new. Recall when then-CSIS Director (Fadden) brought this up *13yrs ago*:
cbc.ca/news/canada/cs…
2) Fadden was talking about politicians who they knew were compromised by the CCP. He was castigated for daring to suggest such a thing. There was supposed to be a report to govt. but I have no idea what came of it.
3) By 2014, Harper Conservatives had secretly signed a deal with China with key details hidden from the public. It was all about trade.
globalnews.ca/news/1708990/e…
4) It's not so easy to "do something" about this, & no one's getting charged with espionage either. The CCP has been stealing Canadian tech & ideas for decades. Some spies have been caught in the meantime & it IS valid to ask why there is such a reluctance to take action.
5) "CCP police stations" have been exposed in the U.S. as well, with some action being taken (finally!) but Canada is an open & free society & you cannot just target people for investigation unless it's worth the time & money. Resources are finite.
6) The CCP interferes by targeting BOTH the Libs & Cons. Disinformation campaigns target EVERYONE. The goal is to create divisions which hobble a coherent response. Those making this a partisan thing, are playing right into the overall goal.
7) Last tweet: CCP theft & interference is a very real problem. If there is no bipartisan approach to this national security issue, we will keep falling victim to CCP methods. Imagine politicians actually unite for sake of country over party. What a radical concept eh? :p <end>

It's editorials by Globe & Mail, National Post .. the usual suspects ... that use their media platforms for political purposes like this that forms part of the problem. The arguments made in this weak piece are very easy to debunk ... let me show you how with this thread:
1. No disagreement here. Fact is, the police DID know there were hundreds of vehicles enroute to Ottawa & failed to plan accordingly. Image
2. Existing approaches were obviously not working. Ottawa police were overwhelmed with calls for service & also fake 911 calls, many of which came from the U.S. Residents were on the verge of taking matters into their own hands. Image

I am just observing the facts, but the CPC supported, endorsed, & facilitated the Convoy at the national & provincial level. They - not Trudeau's comments about the fringe within the fringe - caused it to grow by overtly celebrating it. Mainstream media, in many respects, was ...
... only too happy to play along by framing it as a "truckers" protest, helping legitimize antivaxxer grievances that Trudeau didn't unilaterally remove mandates. We heard CPC leaders say "make it Trudeau's problem." We saw them out there - on camera - weaponizing the crowd.
Part of the narrative was that Trudeau didn't come out to talk to protestors ... for what exactly? Unilaterally ending border mandates would mean you'd get stuck & unable to enter the U.S. Clearly, it was a childish demand, not thought out but if only Trudeau had come out. Sure.

I get the relitigation of inquiry post-hoc but it's out w/#EmergenciesAct & in w/#CCPinCDNPOLI (of valid concern btw). Matches shift v. China from perspective of support to Russia v. Ukraine. Mistake to make this partisan given what RUS & CHN are also doing up in the CDN arctic.
Hyper-partisanship is the poisonous wedge that splits people into being party first, which, if not tempered by humility & yielding to fact, inevitably leads to loyalty over country even where it coincides with the interests of a competing foreign power. Just sayin'.
Since everyone is so interested now, Canada has # of interests in the arctic, while RUS & CHN cooperate w/each other. Spy balloon is just one tip of one iceberg, collectively melting away to uncover new travel routes & even mineral deposits esp. Indigenous rights to those areas.

Diagolon's Jeremy Mackenzie has been debanked. Pic below is ChatGPT on options available. Also, it was brought to my attention he called me a Taliban terrorist on his stream, which is clear & obvious defamation. I have notified his lawyer (Sherif Foda) of my intention to sue.
Also, Mr. Mackenzie claimed I was going to Coutts, AB to .. flip the Coutts plot accused over to CSIS?? You absolute sandbag-for-brains, the last time I worked with CSIS was in two thousand frickin FIVE, 18yrs ago.
Also: do you have any idea how many lawyers tried to call my work into question & break me in Court? Do you realize how many Muslim sympathizers of the Toronto18 were all made to look like fools in the end? My credibility per the case is impeccable & frankly, untouchable.
