I'm being informed our media are never going to admit to what they did, and so there's no point doing what I'm doing with #ItWasAScam.
I’m ‘wasting my time.’
Some thoughts on that.
Whilst there’s much obvious truth to the first part of it - our media can never and will never admit to lying to us for seven years, how could they possibly? - I would take issue with the second part (‘wasting my time’).
There exist no absolute meanings in life. We must, each of us, find our own meanings. We *create* meanings, we discover them, we find them, we invent them. Meaning is what is meaningful *to us*.
I was leafletting outside Labour Conference the year before last, and an older woman approached me. She told me she was a Jewish Labour delegate, a lifelong Labour activist, who had just that morning had her Conference pass disabled.
She had been accused of antisemitism. ‘How can they say that?’ she said, and her startlingly beautiful eyes filled up. Mine did too, and there was a clumsy attempt at a social-distancing-breaking hug.
I think of her when some lying Guardian jackass is performing on PoliticsLive, or a cynical BBC hack is repeating their litany of hate.
I think of how her eyes filled up, how hurt she was, how simply *cruel* this whole dismal circus is and has always been.
I will never let them get away with it, with their cruelty and their hate.
I will never accept it, and I will never let it go.
People, good, decent people, people like that Jewish woman, have been treated in the most appallingly hurtful way, and it will always be meaningful to me to fight it, to expose it, to condemn it.
So I don’t feel I’m ‘wasting my time’. My time spent fighting their smears will always be time spent 'meaningfully', as far as I’m concerned.
Yes, we won’t change our corrupt and hateful media and politics.
Yes, the hate and the smearing will go on, and our voices will count for little enough compared to theirs.
But we all fight our own wars, and the meaning is in the fighting.
We fight and we continue to fight because, simply, it is the right thing to do. Doing what is right is meaningful.
Telling the truth is meaningful. Demanding justice is meaningful.
And doing what is meaningful is never ‘time wasted’.

Why Can't I Own A Canadian?

In her radio show, Dr Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance.
The following response is an open letter to Dr. Laura, written by a US man, and posted on the Internet.
[NB: this is NOT my own work.]
'Dear Dr. Laura:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can.

The ‘Labour antisemitism crisis’ narrative is itself in crisis.

There's been an avalanche of press reports of late, all screaming that:

1. Labour under Corbyn was antisemitic, and that
2. Starmer has ‘turned things around’.

Both elements of this narrative are provably false.
1. There exists no statistical evidence the Labour Party was antisemitic under Corbyn. The only available evidence - two YouGov polls commissioned in 2015 and 2017 by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) but never published by them - shows the exact opposite.
Antisemitism was at a low level within the party compared to other parties or the general public, and fell significantly as Corbyn supporters joined the party.

The avalanche of falsehood we've witnessed over the last week about Corbyn and antisemitism is like nothing I've seen before.
It's beyond horrifying that obvious frauds are being peddled as if they were unarguable truths.
It's dystopian and chilling and nightmarish.
#ItWasAScam
It's as if we as a society, as a culture, have rejected reality, as if some sickness has infected us such that we are no longer capable of distinguishing fact from fraud, nor even have the wish to do so. As if we have regressed to some primitive state where myth replaces truth.
It's as if facts which anyone can check with their own eyes and ears have been rejected in favour of hysteria, of screaming, blood-crazed bigotry.
It's as if we have simply gone mad as a society, as a culture, and are now living in a world composed entirely of lurid fantasy.

Guardian, your whole shitty little fraud has been comprehensively busted.
You make yourself ridiculous continually screaming about *something that never happened*.
You're like a car alarm that keeps going off for no reason.
Annoying, but also unavoidably comedic.
:0)

Hi @soniasodha
No, the EHRC did *not* find the party 'institutionally antisemitic' and you squawking that it did does not, and will never, make it true.
You don't get away with any of that old cobblers on here, and you should know that by now.
Try to *learn*.
#ItWasAScam
I'd put in a complaint, but since Guardian refuses to be regulated *by anyone*, not IPSO and not IMPRESS, it's just an unaccountable lie-making machine that pumps out hateful nonsense.
People on here are wise to it.
You need a new trick.

Corbyn has 'unconscious bias' claims Baddiel, neatly encapsulating the sheer absurdity of the hate campaign against Corbyn.
How does Baddiel know what's in Corbyn's head?
It's almost as if Baddiel has 'unconscious bias' against Corbyn...
It all just gets sillier and sillier.
Baddiel's nonsensical claim of knowledge of Corbyn's 'unconscious thoughts' precisely mimics 'Sideshow Lou' Ellman's 'antisemitic thoughts' hilarity, in which she solemnly 'suspects' she can read Corbyn's mind.
The 'antisemitism crisis' foghorns are reduced to these patently ridiculous formulations because they've dredged decades-worth of Corbyn's public statements and actions and found nothing but consistent and unwavering support for Jewish people and Jewish causes.

I may not be bothering so much with #ItWasAScam from now. The evidence is clear, consistent and damning: Starmer and his bloodless assassins performed one of the most brutal political executions in UK history, and we will all be paying for it for generations.
Our media were willing helpers, dishonest, hateful and speaking with one voice, the bludgeoning voice of the UK state.
No-one who witnessed this and knew what they witnessed will ever trust anything our media tells us again. Those days of innocence are over.
UK is damaged, perhaps permanently, by it. Democracy is shown to be a comforting sham, and those who so desperately needed the changes Corbyn promised were betrayed. It leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. It leaves millions without hope of any kind.
