I wish someone would give me a load of cash so I can start my dream... A live-in therapeutic service. Like a hotel but you go there for 3 months to heal deeply embedded chronic trauma. Daily therapy is the only mandatory activity but you choose which you want.
Therapists available would specialise in a range of therapies from art to psychoanalysis. The 1st week is spent trying each one to see what works & which therapist you bond with. Then there's a range of optional activities like massages, yoga, art, music lessons, on site library
Sports activities like football, running clubs, a gym, swimming pool, gaming rooms. Also careers skills workshops to upskill in specific areas and advisors available to discuss career options (but this isn't the aim nor the focus, it's purely optional).
The only reason that's included is because I bet many will value a meaningful career but be stuck and many will be burnt out by working & be interested in changing careers. Animals on site (horses, dogs, goats etc) to ride, pet & look after.
It's not a holding pen. You are free to come and go as you please and visitors are allowed on site at any time at client request (uninvited visitors will be banned - won't have my clients disturbed by unwanted contact). Gardening activities are available.
Activities coordinators are on site at all times and if there's something you want to do that's not listed, it can and will be arranged within reason. There's also optional group activities like group therapy/mindfulness, art workshops, book clubs, cookery clubs, sports teams.
There are also sensory rooms and chill out zones. Calm rooms are also on site. These would be manned 24/7 by support staff and are designed as rooms you can go to stay safe or just not be alone. Tissues, teddies, grounding, distraction... A cat or dog if you want.
All are safe and welcome. There will be access to religious practices, buses/taxis to religious meetings, prayer rooms and specific intakes for minority or vulnerable groups to ensure safety. Groups for specific issues such as domestic violence will be run as and when required
(IE if one intake has a number of victims of DV). I would hope that a lot of the domestic staff (cleaners, cooks, support staff) would come from disadvantaged populations. They would be given full training, a job, place to stay & be able to engage in all the activities themselves
