/ Personally I am torn on this. On the one hand, it would be great to get an up to date DigiByte wallet. That said I feel @coinomi already offers all the features this app will offer, except the DEX, which is offered by the Komodo app itself already - it already supports #DGB.
/ If the community is going to have an “official” wallet, it should be a showcase for the best features of #DigiByte. It should set the bar for what other wallets should include. Not having support for #DigiAssets v3 is a bit of a deal breaker for me. That is what we need most.
/ $10K for a new skin on their existing wallet is a big ask, when it only adds DigiID. Plus it is going to require ongoing funding down the road just to keep it updated. This for an app that is not open source and not owned by the community.
/ If we are going to throw some money their way, better to pay for a dev to add Digi ID and DigiByte domains support to their existing multi-coin wallet. Presumably less money, and community won’t have to pay to support it. Community will obviously promote it if it delivers.
/ More importantly I think any new DigiByte wallet that we find raise for needs to support DigiAssets 3. That is more important than DEX support in my opinion. (particularly when DigiByte is already supported in their app).
/ I am obviously only one voice in this, and if the community rallies around it, it’ll happen. I just wanted to share my concerns on this approach.
/ My concern is that we end up with a supposedly "official" wallet that is in some grey area between being closed source and being supported by a private business and being open source and owned by the community. We would be neither one thing nor the other.
/ Another concern is having a wallet that is branded as a DigiByte wallet, but is in fact a multi-coin wallet.
