attacking Rodrigo Borgia is just too easy and played out, I would love to read a piece of revisionist history from a catholic perspective that at least attempts to reframe him in a better light
great description of the coronation of Leo X, agostino Chigi makes an appearance, a big name that must be known if you have an interest in the papacy. "behind every noble dynasty, a banker." Also brilliantly uses the spectacle as a microcosm for the pagan neoplatonism
