brad johnson, rg3 (oh what could have been), kirk cousins, patrick ramsey (i really think he had a shot), trent green and a hat tip to taylor heinicke who is gutsy but not elite #httc
guys who were the f*ckin' worst: most of them but esp mark brunell, danny wuerffel (danny effing wuerffel what the hell), rex grossman (holy s*it), mark sanchez (honestly what the eff), tony banks (god is dead), john beck (WhaT?)
i think the biggest bust was donovan mcnabb. what a g-d disaster that was and we could all see it coming.
the biggest free agent bust, that is. not to be outshined by heath shuler, THE BIGGEST NFL DRAFT BUST IN ALL RECORDED HISTORY AND ALSO A CRAPPY "DEMOCRATIC" CONGRESSMAN
not that im still bitter

thats because its all fake and not tethered to any reality, just like when they said two years ago because of biden nobody would have thanksgiving turkeys
people keep trying to get the stuff the right says to make sense, to make it coherent in some sort of consistent philosophy. ive spent decades at this point on this issue with the gop, right wing media, and the right in general.
there is no "there." it doesnt exist. its all bs.
"but how can they say x when theyve said theyve always supported y?"
they just can. and they do. and they always will. it doesnt matter. there's no logic. if you try to parse it your brain will just explode. there's nothing.
sometimes i feel bad at how much work the artists put into creating a real good looking video game and im like "im just running through this screen for a minute to kill some dudes." happened w uncharted 4 and ac: odyssey, for instance.
i also feel this way with comics. i know how hard it is to make this stuff. i suck real bad at it. and im just flipping past these pages.
george perez (rip) probably spends hours doing something like this. me, jerk comic book fan: "neat, ok, i gotta see whats on the next page"
annoying as hell to see scientists and others who are very naive on politics fall for the right's lab leak trap when the whole lab leak thing is about excusing trump for mishandling the outbreak and blaming the virus on scary chinese people.
these people are hardwired to think people are sincerely "asking questions" and dont understand that "lab leak" isnt being brought up in good faith. its like saying you "just want to get to the bottom of 9/11" when you think it was the "bankers" or govt who did it.
"just asking questions" and "do your own research" are the siren songs of the conspiracy crank. every single time. because these are the people who time and time again reject the evidence and research that doesnt confirm their wackadoo bs.
hope the lefties who are rightly pushing on the east palestine issue get as loud the next time an environmental mess hits a black or brown community and this isnt just another round of "we can ignore race and get the white working class back on board with us."
theres a romanticism around the white working class with some lefties that conveniently ignores the racism there, and its a mirror image of the liberal thing where they think tweaking the policy levers can also bypass the racism there.
its really telling that when the factory closed, somehow jose and tariq didnt go all racist and nativist but their coworkers phil and bob did. im just saying.
i dont believe in grand conspiracies, pro or con my position and i generally believe in one step at a time on things (with long term goals). i feel like people too often go ten steps down the road and lose focus on the moment.
eg do i think russia wanted to push out disinfo in 2016 to aid trump and more importantly screw us up? yeah. do i buy that it was some long term gambit formulated in the 80s to build trump and all these people are on the take for the grand goal? prob not.
right now im seeing the early stages of what i think is an overly complex take on 2024: that these candidates are all announcing based on a strategy of dividing the field and nominating trump. i really doubt this. i think its just a bunch of dumb egos colliding.
the entirety of us history up until this very moment: a constant leg-up for white people, esp straight white men, over everyone else
*some minority person gets a tiny boost. like a super-tiny one*
the white guys: wow well i guess we're second class now.
its a pov i can never understand. as a man it would be dumb to look at the entire history of presidents and respond to the election of one woman (which we still havent done) with "well i guess men can't be president anymore." which is what these assholes are saying.
every time theyre like "well they just got that job/college slot/whatever because theyre black/latino/lgbtq/woman" i think "its weird how we never say you got that position cause youre a white guy, even though thats probably why. hm."
