Here's what the root causes of anxiety are -and how to solve them

One of my 2023 goals was to reduce day-to-day anxiety.

I’ve tested dozens of methods until I came around with a simple, 6-minute a day, sustainable one.
Here’s what the root causes of anxiety are -and how to solve them

During the last Christmas holiday, I did a deep dive on the roots of anxiety.

Found out there were at least five factors of growth and wellbeing missing in my life.
1. Self-reflection

Lack of analysis of my thoughts and actions.
2. Lack of clarity

My mind was spaghetti code. No thought process was clear and straightforward.
3. Lack of creativity

Always remained with the same uncreative ideas on my mind. Needed to break the loop.
4. Felt stressed

Found out the majority of my stress emerged of being unable to express it source in plain words, but in feelings.
5. Lack of self-accountability

I had been more apologetic with myself than I should, demanding and achieving less.
But a solution came around when looking for:

∙ Simple methods → complexity is a habit killer.

∙ Short sprints → no more than 10 minutes a day habits.

∙ Sustainable-in-time tasks → seemingly effortless habits.
I stumbled with journaling and an effective method.

Splitting journaling in two daily routines: morning & evening.
Every morning I reflect on four questions. Today…

1. What are you grateful for?
2. What are you excited for?
3. What do you want to do?
4. What do you want to avoid?
This morning sprint usually takes less than three minutes.

Nevertheless, it sets a clear direction and sense of purpose.

During your day, you’ll remember what you wrote in the morning.

This will have a profound impact on your thoughts, actions, and relationships.
And then, every evening at the end of the day, I reflect on three more questions.

1. What have I achieved today?
2. What have I realized or fell short today?
3. What do I need to do tomorrow?

This sprint never takes more than three minutes.
Pro-tip: do both sprints in a simple paper notepad. It will alleviate device distraction.

Overall, journaling can be a simple but effective way to promote personal growth, wellbeing, and a sense of mindfulness.

I used to have the worst team meetings.

Communication sucked.

But I learned how to structure meetings & establish feedback loops.

Here is how to improve your meetings & calls -and most important, what NOT to do!

You can never underestimate the impact of…

◦ Frankness
◦ Openness
◦ Honesty
◦ Transparency

…in small teams, manager & founder circles.

There are some low-hanging habits to include in your regular meetings.

You’ll see results immediately.
I learned these lessons from Gino Wickman.

Some of his books & articles, including:

◦ Traction
◦ Rocket fuel
◦ Entrepreneurial operating system

…helped me gain team frankness incredible quickly.
