A short thread about why windturbines are useless.

Denmark has a huge capacity of wind-energy compared to our country size. A few weeks ago a big storm went over Denmark, making the wind-turbines produce way over 100% of Denmarks electricity needs.

This pic is a actual…. Image

Screenshot of our countrys energy-situation at the time.

The entire countrys electricity consumption(3) is 4,7GW. Wind produces(2) 5,3GW.

We are exporting electricity to all our neighbouring countries that day.
3/

But here is the funny part. Our big coal/biomasse powerplants(1) Are running at full steam, producing 1GW.

Why Are coal/biomasse powerplants running, while our wind produces way over 100% of our electricity need, you might ask?

Its because the Electrical grid…

Need large rotating generators to keep the 50 Hertz fluctuations in the A/C grid.

This means smal producing energy sources like solar/wind, will never stand alone to support an entire countrys electricity needs.

#nuclear fixes this.

The king has returned.

Sir Mike Alkin has returned from the land of ignorant nuclear fuel buyers, and corrupt price-reporters, to share his pearls of supply/demand wisdom, to comfort our rattled investing nerves.

Main takeaway from the @BloorStreetCap interview: thread👇
2/
The uranium investing thesis can be boiled down to one thing only: Its a supply/demand story.

In the last cycle the uraniumprice didnt go to 137$ because of the cigar lake mine flooding, fuelbuyers panic or other single catalysts.
3/
The main reason for the last bullrun was years and years of utilities under-buying/undercontracting. From 1993-2003 utilities contracted about 40% of their annual consumption, and the rest came from 2. supply/megaton to megawatt downblend etc.

This is a CAT994A.

It Burns ~1000 liters of fuel in 12 hours. Moving ~250 tons of dirt to extract materials to produce ONE Tesla battery.

And people still call it “zero emissions” when they drive their eletrical car 🤷‍♂️
Just to clarify. It actually burnes 2600 liters diesel in 12 hours.

But it dosent take 12 hours to move 250 tons of ore. Many mining work-shifts are 12 hours, so i choose that to illustrate fuel-consumption.

It can probably move 250T of ore many times during a 12 hour shift.

The Lassonde curve. Thread 👇

Described by Pierre lassonde, this outlines a mining-companys life stages, beginning at exploration and ending at production. It shows the perceived value (i.e. stock value) that investors may assign at each life stage, as seen in the pic below👇
In my opinion, most uranium developers Are in the end of the orphan period(red Arrow). This period consist of a already discovered asset in the ground, wich are undergoing feasibility studies, permitting, enviromental assesment ect.

We are right before the start of financing..
And start of development of the mine. There Are still alot of risks ahead; construction/financing problems, jurisdiction or problems with local community ect. (Mineflood like cigar Lake)

The orphan period is the place in the cycle where early pre-discovery speculaters have
