Today the Russian MiG-31K was flying without the A-50U.
The MiG-31K took off from Machulishchy airfield at 09:00 and landed at 11:01 (Kyiv time). An escort fighter took off from Baranavichy airfield together with it.
1/9
However, due to the absence of the A-50U AEW&C aircraft in the sky over Belarus, the probability of launch of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles from the MiG-31K of the Russian Aerospace Forces slightly decreased.
2/9
The main purpose of the A-50U in the Belarusian airspace was to “scan” northern Ukraine, among other things, to detect air defense and aviation activities in the air.
3/9
In particular, to ensure that the MiG-31K could safely for itself and “at the right time” launch a missile to bypass Ukraine’s air defense if needed, in other words, so that both the MiG and the missile would not be shot down.
4/9
The Russian A-50U aircraft (RF-50608), which could have been damaged in the Machulishchy incident on February 26, took off from Machulishchy airfield at 11:24 (Kyiv time) yesterday and, according to our information, flew to the 325th Aircraft Repair Plant in Taganrog.
5/9
According to our data, when leaving Belarus, the A-50U flew at a low altitude of up to 4 km. The reason is that an altitude of 3 - 4 thousand meters is considered safe for the crew in case of loss of pressurisation.
6/9
And this is despite the fact that the aircraft is equipped with an emergency oxygen supply system.
Also, yesterday the Russian An-26 left Belarus together with the A-50U and flew to Taganrog.
7/9
This is an additional evidence of the fact that on February 26 a repair team from Ivanovo arrived in Belarus, and on February 28 a repair team from Taganrog arrived there, together they were repairing the aircraft for 4 days and then flew to Taganrog with the A-50U.
8/9
According to the version of propaganda, “the plane flew over the state border of the Republic of Belarus.” As we see, the “flight” has already lasted for 25 hours, given that the maximum duration of the flight of this aircraft without refueling is 9,3 hours.

The A-50U aircraft didn’t return to Machulishchy, but Lukashenka’s propaganda lies that it flew over the border and escorted Lukashenka’s plane.
1/8
During the day, propagandists claimed that the A-50U AEW&C aircraft had already started its mission on combat duty. The Belarusian MoD reported that “A-50U, in accordance with the plan, escorted by other aircraft, flew over the state border of the Republic of Belarus.”
2/8
The A-50U indeed took off from Machulishchy airfield at 11:35 (Kyiv time). Propaganda resources showed footage of the aircraft taking off, but still have not shown footage of its landing. Although usually the A-50U is in the air for an average of 2,5-3 hours per flight shift.

2/7
There are 48 cars in the train:
• 2 passenger cars (with the Russian personnel: ~100 people);
• 46 flatcars (loaded with wheeled military equipment).

Immediately after the takeoff of the A-50 aircraft, two videos of it shot from different angles were sent to the Belarusian Hajun. Pro-Russian and pro-Lukashenka propagandists published them later. What does this work of propagandists mean:

Today the A-50U AEW&C aircraft took off and flew to the Aircraft Repair Plant in Taganrog. Obviously, if the aircraft is flying for repairs, it means that everything is not okay with it anymore.

Immediately after the takeoff, two videos shot from different angles were sent to the Belarusian Hajun. They clearly show the aircraft flying.

Lukashenka’s propaganda decided to show that “everything is all right” with the Russian A-50 AEW&C aircraft and published a video of it moving at Machulishchy airfield. The video was taken at dusk, no details can be seen. It was published on the 4th day after the incident.
1/9
We can confirm that judging by the weather conditions, the video was indeed taken today at around 20:00 (Minsk time), but there are a number of moments worth attention.
2/9
1. The video was taken at dusk on the 4th day after the incident in Machulishchy. The footage shows only the moving of the aircraft on the ground, which doesn’t prove that the aircraft has no damage to the rotating antenna of the Shmel radar or even that the aircraft can fly.
