Over a year ago, Jo claimed she needed money to fix her fridge, then it was to save her house, and now it’s also to fix & repair her house, including “a new roof, a new furnace, and a new chimney liner”.
What’s next? A new car?
JoJo keeps asking for money, yet there’s a glaring lack of transparency about how much she’s actually raised. It seems that once big money started rolling in, she made it harder to tell how much she’s raked in, which appears to easily be in the tens of thousands, if not way more.
In July 2022, her Kofi page said she’d already received 11,559 donations. The donations have continued to pour in over the last 7 months, but JoJo has now hidden the number of donors. This is a huge red flag, and one of many transparency issues.
If we crunch some numbers, JoJo had already raised at least $34,667 back in July. She had 11,559 donors & the default minimum donation is $3… 3 x 11,559 = $34,667. With an average donation of $5, she would have raised $57,795. With an average of $10, it would have been $115,590!
JoJo hasn’t just covered up her # of donors, she also removed the fundraising goal. In Nov ‘22, she was at 67% of her $20k goal. In Dec ‘22, the goal was removed & the percentage dropped to 61%. The only way that could happen is if she increased the goal amount. Another red flag.
It’s important to point out that JoJo never disclosed to her Kofi donors what the new goal amount was, or that it had even changed. It just changed overnight with no explanation.
Something troubling about the way Kofi works is that the donations she receives go directly into her PayPal or Stripe account, and JoJo can change the goal, the amount raised, and the percentage raised at any time. This makes everything about this fundraiser that much more dodgy.
Even the co-founder of the PillowFightCo called out JoJo by saying, “she makes quite a bit of money from her various fundraising schemes - on top of what we already pay her.” (JoJo was a ‘co-founder’, and was being paid as a social media manager until late Dec/early Jan).
JoJo is also bringing in a bunch of money through her Patreon account. She has 384 patrons, and the monthly memberships range from $10 to $500. So, at a minimum, she’s raking in at least $3,800 per month on that platform. Are the people who are donating to her Kofi aware of this?
And $3,800/month is the absolute minimum. If the average amount per patron is $20, then she would be making $7,680 every month from her Patreon alone - over $90,000 a year.
Is any of that money being used to save her house, for her new roof, new furnace, and new chimney liner?
And if money is an issue, why did she resign from her job as a teacher’s aide/paraprofessional in October 2019? And why is she still claiming to have that job on her Patreon page?
Also, over a year after she started asking for money to save her house, does Jo actually own the house or not?
And why is she looking to have others pay to fix things on the house if she doesn’t own it?
To be clear, there is no problem with people asking for help when they are in legitimate need. But JoJo appears to be raking in tons of money, while essentially pleading poverty on her Kofi page in order to get her followers to keep giving her their hard-earned money.
So, back to the original question: Is JoJoFromJerz a grifter?

1/ Now that the trade wars are over, let’s talk about expanding the Supreme Court. It’s pretty clear the best and brightest on the left overwhelmingly support expansion.
2/ Tristan Snell and Brian Tyler Cohen make valid arguments for expansion.
3/ Even Norm from The Contrarian is for expanding the Supreme Court, and as he mentions, “it would not be Court packing, but Court restoration.” #CourtRestoration
1/ If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to navigate a PAC’s FEC filing to see how they’re spending the donation money they receive, here’s a quick and easy step-by-step tutorial.
UNBELIEVABLE: @ReallyAmerican1’s PAC spent only $647.22 on ads opposing Lauren Boebert in ‘22 & that was back in May/June - nowhere near the midterms.
Meanwhile, the PAC’s treasurer, @JustinAHorwitz, & BrooklynDad @mmpadellan paid themselves over $500K for consulting in ‘21-‘22
2/ The fact that @ReallyAmerican1’s PAC spent so little on ads opposing Lauren Boebert in 2022, while paying themselves huge consulting fees, is appalling IMO. Unfortunately, when you look at the rest of their spending, as you’ll see below, a pattern emerges.
3/ Before we take a look at exactly how and when @ReallyAmerican1’s PAC spent the donation money they received in 2021-2022, it’s important to point out that they are a Super PAC.
Why is there a $40,000 disbursement from the Occupy Democrats Election Fund PAC to Mitch McConnell for ‘fundraising/digital’ in their FEC filing on 10/30/20? If this is a ‘clerical error’, it’s the mother of all clerical errors.
It’s right there in their FEC filing, and I would recommend everyone go take a look for themselves. If they have an explanation for this, I’d love to hear it.
If they have an explanation for this, I’d love to hear it, but it’s sitting right there in their FEC filing for all to see.
This information was from the OpenSecrets website. I also went through their FEC filings. I would urge anyone interested to do the same, with a focus on their disbursements. I also did a search for contributions to candidates, and this came up.
Here's a screen shot from their FEC filing of some of their disbursements to fundraising consultants.
