After nearly 20 years yesterday was my last day in uniform for the @usairforce! For the next 6 months I’ll be interning w/ @TilsonTech until I officially retire on 1 Sep. This day almost never came due to the @SecDef 💉 mandate. I need to thank some people who saved my career. 🧵
Last July I was denied a religious waiver & the AF was going to separate me just shy of retirement. I tweeted of my concern for my #disabled daughter’s loss of medical & @TuckerCarlson asked me on his show. He gave me a platform to speak for the 1,000s of us facing persecution 🧵
The next week I was given separation papers & a reprimand for going on Tucker’s show. The next day though a judge granted an injunction thanks to @AaronSiriSG & team. Those lawyers & others, like @dalesaran, have slaved to protect #Military members’ first amendment freedoms. 🧵
The next day I met w/ members of @HouseGOP in DC to help end the mandate. @Jim_Jordan, @RepThomasMassie & @RepMattGaetz were instrumental in ending the #mandate even without a majority. @mattgaetz even had me on his podcast to highlight the abuse service members were facing. 🧵
The following week the AF was violating the injunction by still processing all of our separations. Rep Gaetz stepped in & sent a letter to @SecAFOfficial demanding answers. Within days the AF reversed course while admitting no fault in their response to Congressman Gaetz. 🧵
In addition to Tucker & some @GOP in Congress I wouldn’t be retiring without a few great people in media. @kristina_wong diligently wrote about our plight, @BreitbartNews published an essay by my wife & @JoeTalkShow had her on his show. These people truly care for our military 🧵
Speaking of my wife she has been in my corner this entire time. From day one when I told her that I didn’t believe I would be able to take the 💉 she stood firm with me. I could not have made it this far without her or our God. She is the best partner I could ever ask for. 🧵
