All 7 senators in Louisiana need to hear from you NOW and be encouraged to vote yes on HB648 to protect children from “gender medicine.”

Subject line: VOTE YES on HB648
Text example:
Because no one in Louisiana has a right to harm any child, I urge you to support HB648 by Rep. Gabe Firment. Subjecting children to experimental “treatments,” hormone “therapy,” procedures, and surgeries is harmful and unethical.

PEC will take a seat at any table at which we can speak about the harm of “gender identity.” We will claim our space to speak with confidence and compassion, without hesitation or hate. We do not shy away from uncomfortable situations; we know that we stand on the side of truth.
Please come listen to PEC co-founder Jeannette share her personal story and the work by volunteers at PEC to abolish the gender industry. If you’re interested in learning how you can speak with calm and clear confidence on this issue, come on Jan 26. eventbrite.com/e/stolen-innoc…
No child is or ever will be born in the wrong body. No doctor should be allowed to remove healthy body parts from anyone. The gender industry tells children that they cannot cope with psychological distress. They deserve emotional, social, and psychological support—not a scalpel.

Testimony that went unheard by the Health & Welfare Committee in Louisiana today chaired by @LarryBagleyLA. Thankfully, @RepSchlegel and @AGJeffLandry took time to listen. You must hear this testimony from a former “trans child,” who says “I was failed by modern medicine.”
“My name is Chloe Cole, and I am from the Central Valley of California and a former transgender child patient. I am currently 17 years old and was medically transitioning from ages 13-16.”
“After I came out to my parents as a transgender boy at 12, I consulted a pediatric therapist in July of 2017 and was diagnosed with dysphoria by a ‘gender specialist’ the following month.”

Mission accomplished! Louisiana HB605 has died in the Heath and Welfare Committee. An unnecessary and harmful bill that would have had a chilling effect in Louisiana licensed professionals, we are thankful to legislators for recognizing the damage it could have caused.
Rep. Schlegel, a licensed mental health professional, stated quite accurately that this bill was unnecessary and ethical violations, such as those that are abusive and neglectful of children, are already covered under existing Louisiana laws and policies.
At the hearing, Rep. Bagley allowed only one witness for and against the bill, which was the Solicitor General of Louisiana. While we felt that the testimony of a former trans child would be powerful for the committee to hear, we actually had an even more impactful opportunity.
