It was made with contributions from ordinary people. It is not a cinematic masterpiece. Its a mirror, broken mirror shown to the Historians who falsified history. It is a crude & clumsy slap on the face of politicians, who glorified religious terrorists as freedom fighters.
It could have been tighter and more painful. But looking at the way the Censor board troubled the Director in this form, a harsher one probably would never have seen the Cinema halls.
Puzha Muthal Puzha Vare has shortcomings in narration and acting department. But the honesty and sincerity of the Producer-Director keeps us glued for 3 hours. It brings to big screen the horror stories we have already heard in spite of the best efforts of our Historians and…

1921 PMPV was supposed to have been released in Ernakulam PVR. But PVR deliberately projected the Saturday (4.3.2023) and Sunday (5.3.2023) shows as sold out on all ticket booking platforms to prevent people from watching the movie. They've withdrawn the movie since Monday.
The Islamists are tearing down the posters of the movie. Most Malayalam media & portals are giving extreme negative reviews, dubbing it as "Anti-Muslim propaganda movie".
They conveniently forget how the movie shows moderate, nonviolent Muslims too as victims of the terror of violent Moplahs.

Anything against their narrative is targeted with multi-pronged attacks to discredit it, defame it, delegitimize it and destroy it. 1921 Puzha Muthal Puzha Vare has taken a huge stride in fighting against this "System". It deserves our time, money and support.
It deserves to be dubbed in all Indian languages. The Hindus of Malabar deserve their story to be heard by the world.
