Pages of the Glorious Qur'ān today, Sūrah al-'alā (87) and al-Ghāshiyah (88). Tafakkur verse 87: 14-15
(قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ)
"He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays".
Tazkiyah an-Nafs is the purification of the soul from all the forms of ailments that often plague and prevent it from reaching the pleasure of Allah. Among such ailments are greed, hatred, disobedience, lust, and longing for the luxuries of life carelessly as if it is eternal.
To purify the soul and bring it closer to Allah, it is imperative to remove all the impediments that block its path to Allah. The removal of the impediments is the true struggle with the soul. That is because the human soul by nature commands evil, lust, greed and disobedience.
To manage the affairs of our soul and ensure that we remain on the Fitra that Allah has made for us, He sent the Messengers and Scriptures as sources of reminders and guidance for us. By obeying to the Messengers of Allah and listening ad following His commands, we shall succeed.
The purification of the soul is also evident by our consciousness of/for Ṣalāh and the piety that emerges in our hearts when the name of Allah is mentioned to us or his verses are read to us. See Qur'ān 8: 2 for the description of those whose souls are conscious of Allah.
"The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely".
The description above is that of those who constantly make efforts to remain on the path.
A purified soul is evident in the act of goodness, humility, kindness, love and respect for others. The arrogant, lustful, hateful, quarrelsome, slandering and deceitful person is the one with a dark soul. Such people are those who pray without praying and fast without fasting.
A sick soul is fixated on life on earth, thrown into the depth of greed and arrogance. They see the believers who have chosen modesty and obedience to Allah as "dull" and "slow-witted" but they are very wrong. The smartest person is one who prepares for the hereafter.
Life on earth is a mixture of agony/joy, stress/rest, ignorance/knowledge and uncertainties/death. It is only by achieving the pleasure of Allah on earth and the in the hereafter that life on earth becomes meaningful, desirous and successful.
Therefore, the believer must work for the hereafter while ensuring that life on earth is guided strictly by the commands of Allah and Sunnah of His beloved Messenger. That way, one would be able to find the pleasure of Allah and intercession of RasūluLlah (SAW).
We ask Allah to purify our hearts, bring us closer to Him, bless us to love P. Muhammad (S), make it easy for us to win against Shaytān and admit us with His divine grace and mercy to Jannah Fridaws and grant us safety from the torment of the grave and Jahannam. Āmīn.
Pages of the Glorious Qur'ān today, Sūrah al-Jinn. Tafakkur verse 72: 11
(وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ كُنَّا طَرَاۤىِٕقَ قِدَدࣰا)
"And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways".
While it is true that the world of humankind is distinct from that of Jinn, there are many similarities. Among such similarities is that as there are good men and women among humankind, there are good and bad, righteous and unrighteous Jinn in the realm of Jinn.
The message of Islam didn't start or end only with humankind. The message of Islam teaches the Jinn world and the entire universe. The cosmos bear witness that Allah is One and Muhammad is His Messenger. Hence, Islam is universal and eternal.

(فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ)
"So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great".
Why did you lock the comment section? 1. His state of mind is perfect. You should see his interviews. 2. Allegations are to proven. No one is guilty as charged until their guilt is proven without an iota of doubt. 3. Godfatherism to known political thugs like who and who??? 🤷
4. His sense of entitlement: that's personal to him. He has built lot of notable politicians and helped many achieve their lifelong objectives. Of he said to them within their circle that "it's my time". I believe he meant be had given to them and they should repay his loyalty.
5. His lookaway: I never thought he looked away. We know how politicians can be when the integrity of their party is at stake. He is not an activist, he is a politician. People like you and me will not understand that because we are not politicians. Still, he spoke, he did.
Pages of the Glorious Qur'ān today, Sūrah al-Qalam. Tafakkur verse 32.
(عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَاۤ أَن یُبۡدِلَنَا خَیۡرࣰا مِّنۡهَاۤ إِنَّاۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَ ٰغِبُونَ)
"Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."
In a lifetime, there would always come times when one is incapacitated by situations of such times. Many times, such moments cannot be changed by one's power or will alone. One must understand that only Allah can help. So, while one makes effort, he must ask Allah for help.
Q66: 6
"O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded".
Q58:9
"O you who have believed, when you converse privately, do not converse about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger but converse about righteousness and piety. And fear Allah, to whom you will be gathered".
