Too many visibly Jewish people suffered in silence from this in recent weeks and months (while reading in the Times that they are NY's biggest problem). People just want to be on their way and not make a scene which may cause them to be detained too.

People need to share their experience.

A story that happened to your cousin's friend does not count.

A story without being willing to give your name to investigators is not much of a help.

Antisemitism impacts all Jews, and those who are visibly Jewish suffer disproportionately because it's visible that they are Jewish and also because they face relentless besmirching in the public arena from bigots which fuels hate attacks. cc @brianmrosenthal @nmoster

Blatant Nazism at JFK gets less outrage than dumb comments from a rapper because the JFK story A) has no anti-GOP; anti-Trump hook and/or B) the victims are visibly Jewish people. Nobody cares about antisemitism. It's just a political football especially for the #AsAJew crowd.

The #AsAJew folks largely mingle with unaffiliated whites when they choose and thus have a lower chance of facing antisemitism, yet pull their #AsAJew card when it fits their largely-liberal agenda to hit Republicans, Hasidim and Israel. They have the best of both worlds.
