With the new raid race fast approaching, here are a few simple last-minute tips for those planning to give it their best shot.🧵
1⃣ Pay close attention to your ammo economy.
This all starts with the simple act of throwing on an armor piece with 3 reserve mods when rallying before the encounter starts. Ammo Finder and Scout mods will also be of help but make sure you have an Aeon piece ready for DPS checks.
2⃣ Have a solid DPS primary ready.
These are the following in descending order of effectiveness:
- Hierarchy of Needs (max damage at 40+ meters)
- Touch of Malice
- Outbreak Perfected (with everyone using it)
Important note: the Damage Buff from Lumina's 'Blessing of the Sky' and Boots of the Assembler's seekers provide a 35% Damage Buff. (cont)
This is 10% higher compared to Well of Radiance and Weapons of Light and can be very impactful if used well.
Also remember that Weapon Surge mods stack on top of this buff for 10-17-22% extra damage per mod as long as you have Armor Charges.
4⃣ Arc Souls can be incredibly helpful.
Since their recent damage buff, it's seriously worth considering bringing an Arc Warlock to encounters as long as the Arc Souls can reliably hit the boss.
Their damage is solid as long as the Boss is close by and doesn't move around a lot.
5⃣ Have your guns ready to go and your loadouts saved in the loadout menu.
This one is a no-brainer but it's especially so since the API might become unstable or even crash (like during the KF race) while the race is ongoing. Nobody wants to make a HELM trip all of a sudden.
Bonus: Check out this amazing spreadsheet by @MrRokDC and maeix. If you ever wanted a spreadsheet to visually compare the DPS of weapons, this is the one! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
We know a lot of this isn't anything new or groundbreaking but that's already been covered by seemingly every creator in the history of ever.
In the end, remember that this is all a game and we're here for the fun. Keep it civil, keep it nice, and may the best team win!
Sure glad I mentioned Hierarchy of Needs... 🫠
