$muln #ElectricVehicles @DavidMichery #MullenAutomotive @bollingermotors I was very impressed with both teams.  Both companies had very professional displays.  However, what I was more impressed with was the knowledge of the employees and the vehicles that accompanied their
display and Bollinger had at least eight.  Everyone I spoke with had years of experience from previous employment at automotive leaders in the industry.
I was there because I own a small business in Fishers, Indiana and going green is important to me and my clients.
Stahl / Arbortech currently make our truck bodies, they also had a display.  I had Stahl / Arbortech’s engineer walk over and look at the Bollinger B4 chassis.  He was very impressed with the innovative setup of the chassis and the width of it.
It is very clean and organized in a way that is easy to equip with any body type.  This is unique compared to what other companies have to offer from what I saw.  For my company’s application, he specifically confirmed that it has an electric over hydraulic PTO
which allows it to work with dump beds.  Not all EV work trucks have this feature.
Wabash truck bodies had one of their bodies on the Bollinger B4 chassis as their green option.  Wabash is one of the leading truck body suppliers in the country. After hearing
what the Stahl / Arbortech’s engineer had to say, I can see why Wabash picked Bollinger to team up with.
Bollinger and Mullen offer great warranties on the batteries and drive train, I believe its 8 years or 100,000 miles.  The ROI compared
to gas and diesel is a no brainer at two to three years-ish with half the maintenance cost.  I believe miles per day were around 185 for the B4 but that is a non-factor for us as most of the business we do is within a five mile radius of
our locations.  On average we have put about 40,000 miles in five years on our big trucks that we want to replace with EV’s.  Also, the ROI could even be better depending on state and city rebates for EV’s.  Federal rebates I believe are 30% up to $7500.00 for class 1
to 3 and 30% up to $40,000 for class 4 and above.
Mullen’s Campus Delivery and Urban Utility were getting a lot of attention as well.  The Van is very innovative with the option for only one seat with an in-vehicle office.  It also has more room than most in its class.
However, the biggest thing I heard is all of the big name manufacturers are leaving the class 1 space which puts Mullen at the front.  The Urban Utility chassis is very clean as well which will make it easy to put a variety of bodies on it.  The innovative design allows for a 14
foot box which is awesome.  The forward cab design allows for tight turns and better visibility which is great in city areas.  Production for both vehicles will ramp up late summer early fall at the Mississippi plant.
The first dealer has already been put in place in North Carolina. I called the dealership and was able to confirm this with two different people.
I am sure there are some things I have missed; this was truly an information overload.
With that said, I am very excited about the future of Mullen and Bollinger Motors.  This is not financial advice, just what I was told and observed.    Do your own due diligence.  In my opinion, the most impressive vehicle in the entire show was the B1.
Special thank you to @DavidMichery and @bollingermotors for bringing together so many amazing people! Have a great weekend!
