When National Artist Virgilio S. Almario asked me to sit with him earlier on the table with the honoree literary critic,Dr. Soledad S. Reyes, I did not know I will be in the middle of a very rare moment.

This is an emotional book launching of Soledad S. Reyes's autobiograpy Balik-Tanaw: The Road Taken, and her translation of Precioso Palma's Avenge Me! and celebrating 77 years of her life in the presence of family and friends after she just completed

twelve sessions of her chemo and on her road to recovery.

Also present was May-i Dr. Dina Roma, Dr. Marjorie Evasco, DLSU Press Director David Jonathan Bayot and Former UST Press Director Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo.

This was a rare moment where the top people from the Taft and

Katipunan worlds come together. And was glad to be there.
