Silicon Valley VC guys: Critical reporting in the mainstream press has convinced the country that we're villains. How they cover us affects public opinion!

Trans people, fresh off another round of mainstream newspapers running stories that treat our existence as a debate: Image
The funny thing is that the VC dudes are mad that newspapers no longer just print their press releases verbatim.

Meanwhile, trans people can cite actual factual mistakes in the scaremongering stories about us, but we get brushed off.
For real, I saw Matt Yglesias, one of the big "why are the transes trying to silence reporters!?!?" guys, posting something the other day about how major newspapers shouldn't be too critical of tech startups.
