A 🧵thread. I went through every episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight and edited out ALL of the footage he claimed was evidence of some alternative narrative. It was about 10 min. 45 secs. total. This first video focuses on Jacob Cansley the QAnon Shaman 1/6
This video focuses on Chansley. Carlson shows him entering the building but when he showed the clip he didn’t mention to his viewers that Chansley is in the shot. All told there was about 3 and a half min. total of Chansley. You can also see that he’s holding a spear 2/6
The third video shows protesters in a large circular room. Tucker Carlson claimed they lined up in neat and orderly lines but that’s not what is shown. I’m not sure how this changes anything. 3/6
This includes the brief clip of Officer Sicknick that does not include a time code. There is no way to tell if Carlson’s claims that this was after the officer was assaulted are true or not. I also included hallway footage. 4/6
This video includes clips of Ray Epps. The Capitol Police issued a statement that said they were not concerned about the slight inconsistency in Epps’ timeline. There’s also footage of the MAGA cop and Alex Jones 5/6
The last video includes exterior shots, some footage shot from the ceiling and a peephole camera. A brief segment of Trump’s speech that day was also included. This is all of the footage. It was about 10 minutes 45 seconds out of 40,000 hours of given to Tucker Carlson. 6/6

A 🧵thread about how Fox News took the DOE “low confidence” theory that COVID-19 may have leaked from a lab to promote misinformation about the disease. 1. Natural immunity - Fox seems to forget how randomly the disease killed people. 1/5
2. Masks - Somehow the origin of COVID meant that masks don’t work according to Fox. Dr. Marty Makary cites the Cochran Studies which some researchers have criticized. I provide several medical organizations that promote mask wearing. 2/5
3. School closures - Was it worth putting the lives of adult teachers and staff at risk of catching a highly unpredictable sometimes lethal disease that the medical community knew little about. Sweden was not a free for all and their policies have been criticized. 3/5
A 🧵thread on how Fox covered the SOTU in 5 tweets. Border, crime, China and Balloons were the main focus. At one point Martha MacCallum wondered outloud why Biden wasn’t more like GW Bush - a president not known for brilliant foreign policy 1/5
Fox also talked a lot about spending, mentioning several popular programs Biden wants to pass. Larry Kudlow mentions tax rates but leaves out how the top 1% own 1/3 of the wealth while the bottom 50% own 2% of the wealth 2/5
Brit Hume said the speech was full of gaffes and stumbles but his comment sounded scripted as if he hadn’t actually watched the speech. Bret Baier noted that most of the polling before the midterms gave the Republicans a false sense of security 3/5
A 🧵 on 27 hours of Fox News coverage of the Speaker of the House vote. It started with Rep. Scott Perry ranting for six minutes, Hannity calling it a clown show, and a general state of panic and anger 1/7
At the beginning of the week Jesse Watters decided he’d ignore the story. Hannity called Biden a socialist while evoking Reagan, Ingraham kept promoting her own politics , Tucker threw shade to McCarthy and made insane demands 2/7
Hostages, bratty Republicans, circular firing squads and drunken bonding. Tucker takes things to a dark place. Hannity blames Democrats while bragging he’s personally influencing Republicans, Trey Gowdy calls it a clown show 3/7
A 🧵on media reporting - I clip Fox all day long. Sometimes a larger account will use my clip with no citation. Ultimately it’s Fox’s footage. We can all use media clips under Fair Use but it kind of cracks me up when I see it. 1/4
If I spend a ton of time on an edit - My infamous Trump “sniff” edits take about 2 hours to create, I will mark the footage with my full account name because it’s unique to me. If it’s just a random clip from a Fox show I don’t, as anyone could grab it. 2/4
When I pull clips from YouTube I always leave all the markings where I got it. It’s clear if the clips is from a network show as it will have the network plastered on the screen. If it’s unclear I’ll write the source in the upper right-hand corner. 3/4
A thread 🧵 On election night Fox News. From jubilation to despair: A thread in 8 tweets. This is an overview of the entire 9 hours worth of coverage. Things started out so hopeful... 1/8
Jesse Watters made an appearance in the second hour. He didn't offer much but anecdotes, and a humble brag about how he was recognized in his polling place in Manhattan. He had lots of bravado, little substance. 2/8
Tucker Carlson arrived in hour 3. He made a racist comment about BLM in Florida as well as getting in a dig at Dominion Voting Systems the company that's suing Fox for defamation. It seemed kind of reckless to bring the company up by name but Carlson lives life on the edge. 3/8
