She really just straight up compared trans people to "Death Eaters", the villains of her books. Even has a little reference to us having to live in the closet
Btw I'm not surprised at this really, other than how blatant it is. JKR has the same views as Posie Parker and Helen Joyce and Michael Knowles and Matt Walsh. There's no difference between any of them with regards to trans rights

Cis people being paid to coercively force a trans person to detransition is exactly as evil as if you just took a cis kid off the street and forced them to transition. No difference at all.

The thing transphobes baselessly accuse us of doing is what they actively do to us

In case you're wondering how it's going in the UK:

THOUSANDS of anti trans activists are in a RAGE because a politician included a murdered trans girl in the list of murdered women and girls

They're significantly angrier over this than the murder itself. Ideology > human lives
I suspect one of the big newspapers will publish some disgusting hit piece on the poor murdered child and her family, and then the politician will back down and apologise to the frothing hate mob for daring to show basic respect to a trans person
Regardless of what magic essence or soul you think trans women and girls have, they are targeted by misogyny. They are killed for being women and girls. Your simplistic black and white ideology just doesn't work in real life

This thread and its replies are one of those rare examples of conservatives being honest about what they're doing. The argument they're having is about how polite to be, and whether to lie about their beliefs to sell them to the public or not. Not about whether extremism is bad
The range of views are "we want to wipe trans people out and should say it" all the way to "we want to wipe trans people out, but if we say it then people might not like how it sounds, so we should lie". Totally disgusting to watch, but also kind of reassuring that I'm not mad😂
None of them are saying "what they are saying is extremist and not what I believe". It's all "When they're open and honest it will turn people away from supporting us"

Never thought I'd say this but, apart from the slurs and the negative framing, I totally believe @TheQuartering

Almost always the straight men who are most vocally opposed to our rights do so because they are attracted to us and feel guilty about it
There's a reason that they all have this sexually driven vibe when they're talking about wiping us out. As I'm sure you've realised by now every conservative accusation is an admission, and they sure like accusing us of wanting to have sex with them and of having fetishes
The more conservative the US state, the more porn searches they have for trans people. Every time.

It's not as straightforward lust + guilt = hate. It's a self reinforcing loop. They are more attracted to us *because* we are "taboo" and see as subhuman to them

Finland just passed their "self ID" law THIS MONTH. Sweden hasn't passed it, only proposed it in 2022. Neither have "reimposed restrictions"

Imo this was on purpose as part of the Guardian's war on trans people
This factually false narrative is the one the paper has actively decided to push. It's too consistently wrong on this to be a coincidence

Trans rights only pass because of feminists. Most feminists support them. Most of the protest is from conservatives

NONE have backtracked
Does @guardian not do fact checking anymore?
