Here's the indictment of Guo Wengui's personal assistant Yvette Wang. documentcloud.org/documents/2370…. Reporting on Guo, I've noted that Wang handles executes lots of his transactions. If feds flip her -as they're clearly trying to do- Guo's even more screwed.
Also per @innercitypress, Wang had $138,000 in cash and 12 iPhones in her apartment, plus access to $100 million in funds!
Wang had a role in the helping Bannon and Guo publish smut from Hunter's hard drive. motherjones.com/politics/2022/…; She oversaw movement funds for Guo in this scheme: motherjones.com/politics/2022/…. Plus, a source said that Wang, as Guo's proxy, can veto big decisions at Gettr.

Fire at the Sherry Netherland, where Guo Wengui, arrested today, lives. abc7ny.com/sherry-netherl…. Guo has been in legal dispute with the Sherry for years over unpaid condo fees. They claimed he defrauded them.
“The FBI's New York Field office is working to determine whether the fire at the Sherry-Netherland Hotel is linked to the Wednesday morning arrest of exiled Chinese businessman Guo Wengui.”
Guo has claimed not to own the $67.5 million, 15-room penthouse apartment at the Sherry Netherland where he's lived since 2015, saying an LLC run by his son actually owns it. And that LLC filed for bankruptcy, which looks like a ruse to stop creditors from seizing the asset.

Exiled Chinese mogul Guo Wengui claims in this post that FBI agents raided his home today at 5am and brought him in for questioning. Sources have said Guo is being investigating by the US Attorney in SDNY and the SEC for possible fraud and money laundering. Image
Steve Bannon, who Guo has paid as an adviser, was involved in Guo business ventures I have heard are part of the federal investigation.
A key point I've tried to make about Guo is that his claims to be a big foe of the Chinese Communist Party looks like a grift. With Bannon's help, he built up a following in the Chinese diaspora, then hit them up for money. Now feds agree: this was a scam. motherjones.com/politics/2023/…

For the last few days, followers of exiled Chinese mogul Guo Wengui have been tweeting at me, urging each other to try to get me suspended for writing articles exposing activities of Gou and Steve Bannon, who works with and for Guo. A couple points on this.
I doubt these people can get me suspended for journalism, even from Elon Musk's Twitter. But if they did, they'd be doing me and the stories they're trying to suppress a favor. Less twitter for me, more attention for the articles. Do your best, ants.
Ironically I just wrote an story noting that Guo followers in '20 engaged in a coordinated effort to tweet out explicit pictures of Hunter Biden and lies about him -an effort that violated Twitter rules including one against "coordinated harmful activity." motherjones.com/politics/2022/…

Twitter suppressed the NYPost's Hunter Biden story in Oct 2020, an error. But they also suppressed nonconsensual tweets showing Hunter Biden's penis. And Taibbi and Musk also attacked those deletions. Musk said deleting them violated the First Amendment. thebulwark.com/no-you-do-not-…

Watching closing arguments in Oath Keepers case, defense lawyers keep trying versions of this first point. They hope to sever OKers' rhetoric from actions. The problem most of these guys have, including "Kenny," is they stormed the Capitol. Hard to divorce that from words.
Harrelson lawyer Brad Geyer, after saying "if the video doesn't fit you must acquit," during his closing argument is playing video that I suspect no one but him wants to see.
Geyer says that if the gov presents evidence that is inaccurate, as he argues, "you gotta throw it out." Adds "If I'm walking down the street and see a jelly donut that has ants all over it" he won't eat it.
I'd urge him not to eat even an ant-free donut off the ground.
