Pharmaceutical companies have long had to list drug side-effects in their advertising. But when ordinary citizens described true stories of Covid vaccine side effects, the U.S. government & its contractors called it misinformation and demanded censorship.
Under pressure from the Biden White House, Facebook censored "often-true content” that a company executive said in the spring of 2021 "does not contain actionable misinformation" but was "discouraging vaccines."

Twitter executives also caved in to the pressure of government-funded censors.

The revolt of Dutch farmers against unreasonable nitrogen pollution regulations has succeeded, with their Farmer Citizen Movement (BBB) party winning big in regional elections to become the biggest bloc in the Senate.

nytimes.com/2023/03/16/wor…
Farmers had already reduced nitrogen pollution by nearly 70% but the government said that wasn’t enough and demanded they cut pollution by another 50% by 2030, which would have closed 11,200 out of the roughly 35,000 dairy and livestock farms

open.substack.com/pub/public/p/g…
Between 1995 and 2006, farmers slashed nitrogen pollution by 70% through innovation, not farm closures. Farmers measured nitrogen inputs in the form of feed and fertilizer and measured nitrogen outputs in the form of milk and meat. They took various measures to reduce pollution… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

"When you see TV pharmaceutical commercials, you listen to the long list of side effects—it is required by law in the name of public safety. But malinformation experts decided that similar information about covid vaccines may be 'misleading.'"

"The relationship here between the speech regulators and citizens is somewhat similar to that between adult and child. The younger and more vulnerable children are, the more likely adults will hide from them the truth that is harmful and “misleading” at a younger age."

"I have nothing but compassion for adolescents suffering from feeling unhappy in their bodies. Indeed, it is out of my concern for them that I write. If you’d asked me at 11 if I wanted to be a boy, I would have said, 'Yes.'"

"Until recently, quite a few girls dressed boyishly and had interests typically associated with boys, and no one had a problem with it. No one would have dreamed of suggesting that such behavior indicated that the tomboy was really a boy trapped in a girl’s body."
"Today, the boyish girl is in danger of being told she was 'born in the wrong body' and whisked off to a gender clinic to begin the journey from puberty blockers to breast removal to reproductive surgery and, ultimately, infertility."

A former FBI official who ran a disinformation campaign that generated hundreds of fake news articles falsely accusing dozens of Twitter users of being Russian bots is now claiming a Russian influence operation aims to weaken U.S. support for Ukraine

nytimes.com/2023/03/15/us/…
The NY Times is credulously citing fmr. FBI official Clint Watts even though journalist @mtaibbi exposed his scam to smear dozens of Twitter users as Russian bots, thanks to his access to the Twitter Files
The NYT article by @julianbarnes @SangerNYT @MarcSantoraNYT does not mention Watts’s disinformation campaign, quote a critic of his analysis, or contain a different perspective. Watts’s report, and the article, appear to be pretext to smear critics of US support for Ukraine.

San Francisco is seriously considering giving $5M to every eligible African-American adult, in the name of repairing past racism. But new racism is not the cure for past racism. Californians voted in 1996 & again in 2020 to abolish racial preferences.

Moreover, the proposal for reparations is based on racist pseudo-science, including the debunked Lamarckian theory of "genetic trauma." ImageImage
"The idea that we carry some biological trace of our ancestors’ pain has a strong emotional appeal.... But for many scientists the research falls well short of demonstrating that past human cruelties affect our physiology today"
