Strong contingent from Sheikh Jassim's team present in Manchester. Delegation led by Shazhad Shahbaz (third from left), president of Nine Two Foundation. He's a serious player across international banking, investments, & capital markets. Spent 25-years at Bank of America.
Fady Bakhos also present. He is a legal, corporate and investment advisor to Sheikh Jassim (second from left in photo above). Sam Powers is also there and is Global Head of Technology, Media and Telecom at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Yasir Shah is present on behalf of BoA as well. He is their MD. And there are lawyers from Macfarlanes and representatives from real estate and investment firms.
Understand talks will continue into the afternoon and have been "really positive". Sources close to the group say they have been "warmly welcomed".

Some info also on Sir Jim Ratcliffe's bid ahead of his visit to #MUFC tomorrow. Ratcliffe will be present. He feels it is important to attend. The meetings, as Nine Two Foundation found, are about information gathering and, as importantly, relationship building. Image
Ratcliffe will be joined by INEOS co-owners Andy Currie and John Reece and INEOS Sport chair Rob Nevin and chairman Jean-Claude Blanc (ex-PSG). Latter two are Ratcliffe's closest sports advisors and not earmarked for an #MUFC in-house role if successful. They'll stay with INEOS.
Ratcliffe himself wants control of the club, but it's understood he's not considering assuming the same day-to-day role as, for example, Todd Boehly at Chelsea.

🚨 Sheikh Jassim's delegation only finished their talks with #MUFC and Raine Group this evening after around 10 hours. The day has been described as "really positive and really detailed" by sources familiar with discussions. Image
Shahzad Shahbaz, president of the Nine Two Foundation, has been earmarked for a key role. He's not just been parachuted in to lead the bid or help value the club. He'll be an important part of the leadership team at #MUFC if the group are successful.
Understand Shahbaz expected to represent Nine Two Foundation, a bit like Behdad Eghbali at Chelsea on behalf of Clearlake Capital. He'll then directly advise Sheikh Jassim alongside Fady Bakhos.

Bit more on the #MUFC sale process. Understand that Rothschild advisors have outlined to the Glazers in recent weeks the projected impact of them remaining at the club. This has also factored in fan outrage should that scenario occur.
Although doubts remain about Joel and Avram's intentions, and they never guaranteed a full sale, outright bidders put through have grown in confidence that a full sale is feasible.
Initial skepticism came from the Glazers telling Sir Jim Ratcliffe last year they didn't want to sell, and Sheikh Jassim sensing a family divide. Understand that the Nine Two Foundation originally feared a part-funded Saudi minority bid as well, but nothing has emerged.

🗣️ Erling Haaland to Thierry Henry: "I think you’re the only one that knows how to score a lot of goals..."
🗣️ On scoring five. "I could have had two more goals in the first half. And there were crosses on the pitch from Kevin [De Bruyne] I could have got to. And I had stayed on the pitch, who knows what could have happened. You have to be happy with five, but I always want more."
🗣️ On the 7-0 win. "The feeling is amazing. To win 7-0 and give a statement in this tournament. It’s not easy to score seven goals. It’s an amazing feeling."

Morocco confirm they have joined Spain and Portugal's joint-bid for the 2030 World Cup.

Morocco's King, Mohammed VI, calls the bid "unprecedented in football history... bring[ing] together Africa and Europe."🇲🇦
106 votes are needed to stage a World Cup and Europe (55) and Africa (54) have 99 between them. This makes the bid extremely strong.
Ukraine were unveiled as part of the bid in September, but the likelihood of them recovering from the war in Ukraine in time to stage World Cup games prompted Spain and Portugal to join forces with Morocco.

Can confirm PSG are interested in buying a stake in Spanish Second Division side Malaga. Talks are only at an exploratory stage. Nothing is advanced and all potential percentages still being considered. Image
A 51% stake has not been fixed upon. Talks are not that far along, and Malaga's Qatari owner Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani has said before he's not planning a sale.
QSI have an ambitious 2023 ahead. They're looking at multiple clubs, having held exploratory talks with Spurs. As reported, they want to add to their portfolio, which includes PSG, Braga and Premier Padel. Europe and South America two key football regions considered this year.
