While many privileged can take it easy, and have sufficient cushion to not worry about lower function during the long recovery face, the non-privileged & the privileged with mission critical roles CANNOT do so, so they either have to call quits or function at a lower level.
This is the recipe for systemic FAFO : ppl walking out or continuing to "work" in environments that will increasingly require high levels of physical and mental functioning among workers to continue to operate. At some point , reserves will exhaust and things will just collapse.
