So this is a situation I wanted to speak on as I've seen similar things in the #furrycommunity. This is not meant to be an attack on the individual involved, but I am going to use their actions to highlight two issues I have. 🧵

TLDR: a battletech content creator removed someone from their discord because they are a Russian citizen, but because they did anything wrong or said anything hurtful. Reason was given as comfort and security of US service members, which I happen to be. Dropping screen grabs ⬇️

My response above hit on my issues with actions like this. Discriminating against someone because of the actions of their govt is wrong, period. Using the military as an excuse for bad behavior is wrong, period. I stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦. I also stand with oppressed Russians.
