The medical profession also affirms substance use disorder. So-called "harm reduction" activists tell addicts that they aren't likely ever going to stop so they should just keep using "safely." It's pathological empathy bordering on Munchausen syndrome by proxy.
Millions of people around the world recover from addiction. Only a tiny percentage of addicts get so sick that they end up homeless. They need an intervention, or they will get sick, assaulted, and/or die. Cultists, yes, cultists, are depriving them the medical care they need.
