1/ Here's a thread about known explosions of #NordStreamSabotage . Four locations, two in Danish zone and two in Swedish zone. Two on NS1 and two on NS2. "NS1S" ="Nord Steam 1 Sweden" Look at the names in the picture to identify the four sites. Image
2/ Each pipeline has two "Strings" which are accurately drawn on the navigational chart. For NS2 we know from official docs which one of the strings is A and which is B. I used the same nomenclature for NS1. Image
3/ Zooming in on the NS1S site we suspect there were two bombs there and both were on String A. This is because of the Gazprom press release reporting "two craters 248 meters apart". This is the site filmed by Expressen, BBC, and Greenpeace. Image
4/The NS1D site is clearly marked on the chart with two "danger areas of 500 meters, Both are on String B so I assume each correspond to an explosion. Image
5/The NS2D was the one exploding first (0203 Sept 26) and the single marker indicates a single bomb on String A. (Today, March 24 2023, NS2 hired Glomar investigates the undamaged B-String next to the rupture) Image
6/ Finally, the "small" NS2S leak is not marked on the chart but we know the position from Belos October 29 last year when it extended a vertical line for its divers. Single bomb om String A again. We know this is just a small hole since most of the gas bypassed post-bang. Image
7/ As for timing:

September 26. 0203 NS2D
September 26 1904. NS1D
Same day 7 seconds later - NS1S and NS2S
8/ There are no restrictions going to the Swedish ruptures but Denmark has a notice to mariners saying you can't go closer than 500 meters to any of the ruptures due to "explosion risk". Probably methane and not unexploded bombs. Image
9/ That was facts. Now some speculation assuming Seymour Hersh is generally right

Setup in all 6 (or 8) locations were identical.

Divers practiced to do a job. You don't improvise, Fastest and simplest is to learn one process and repeat.
10/ Bombs were pre-fabricated to fit, including trigger devices and connected receivers.

You don't make any unnecessary assembling/connecting underwater. Just dig and stick them under the pipeline.
11/ The bombs were made so they could easily be removed. They could have a handle and some built in buoyancy so that weight underwater was just 20 kilos for 100kg explosives.
12/ Once it was clear that 2 bombs didn't explode, the US had to tell Sweden and what to do. and maybe offer Denmark secret help. Not informing your allies about unexploded bombs when they're sending their best to the seafloor sounds just absurd to me.
13/ The bombs were hidden under the pipeline. They had to be to avoid discovery. Therefore USA had to inform about the location, or ask SWE/DEN for protection when sending their own.
14/ If we get confirmation about the unexploded bombs, it also means that Sweden and Denmark have known from day one who did it. Hersh should not get away with saying this lightly.
15/ Hersh should be asked again if he stands by his claim of two unexploded bombs. Another way to check what I'm saying here is to simply look at NS2S and see if the hole is under the pipeline.
16/ Another thing that all parties know (Russians through Gazprom and investigators) is the size of the craters. The two bomb craters at NS1S are reported to be 3-5 meters deep. Are the other four craters same size?
17/ Craters could also confirm or debunk if bombs were identical and put under. Drones can scan bottom and accurate topographical maps can be made. No need to wait for investigation.
18/ The early placement of bombs, as claimed by Hersh, requires total concealment which only can be done if bombs are buried under the pipeline. If craters and NS2S hole are not supporting buried bombs it makes his story of early placement much less believable.
19/ Think about it. The setup had batteries and a sonar receiver. A discovery would immediately point to USA because of the proprietary technologies. They COULD hide it so of course they DID hide it, and they made an easy to remove package if operation was called off.
20/ The hydrophone to receive the signal could be very small and disguised as som natural object and the rest of electronics and batteries would be embedded in the explosives to self destruct. Of course they didn't want US fingerprints in the form of US only tech.
21/ I'm assuming CIA planned a perfect crime. The requirements forced them to make the bombs totally invisible and leave no traces. But Hersh's story could turn that same perfection into a big fingerprint: A crime scene not falsifying the claims of this thread.
22/ Rant continues. Although the plan was perfect, its execution was not. Plan was to detonate all 8 bombs simultaneously, but .. two mishaps:

1. Just one bomb exploded 02:03

2. And just five exploded 19:04, leaving two unexploded.
23/ The delay of 17 hours could not have been on purpose. It meant that the second bomb on the A-string of NS2 caused very little damage on the depressurized pipe and left traces, allowing explosive type and amount to be derived.
24/ The unplanned nature of the 17 hour gap could also explain the delayed media reporting. Although it was totally clear from pressure readings that NS2A was destroyed on Monday morning, it wasn’t widely reported until Tuesday.
25/ Many traces can be hidden in what happened behind scenes during the day of September 26. Second blast of five bombs must have been a relief to the planners.
26/ But two bombs remained unexploded on the seafloor and had to be removed. More people had to get involved, more risk, more secrecy necessary.
27/ If things had worked according to plan, all 8 bombs had exploded first time around, vaporizing all traces of signature technology and sending pipeline flying all over in a chaotic debris field.
28/ The full crime scene could have been made public pretty soon if things had worked out according to plan. Blame could have been allocated without constraints.

1/ Sitting on a bus thinking.

What if Seymour Hersh and those of us who take him seriously on #NordstreamSabotage all suckers?

Who’s screwing us, why, how and what’s their endgame?
2/ I dismiss the notion that Sy would just sit there in his big armchair and make it all up. No way he’d pull such a giant prank on those who admire him. And he isn’t mad either.
3/ so who screws him?

1/ I realized this morning there is a way to verify wether both strings are in fact blown up on both sites of NS1.

If that was the case, the whitewater ring over the danish leak would fade sooner, since its's three times longer to the Russian side and three times the gas.
2/ I made a small polygon in google earth with corners on leak locations. Then uploaded to imagehunter.apollomapping.com to see available satellite footage. Must admit the images seem to debunk double-string bomb hypothesis.
3/ This is a "free preview" and it shows Danish and Swedish NS1 leaks of equal size 4 days after blast. Germany reported pressure drop 7 bars in just one day, so both strings of NS1 cannot have been totally ruptured on the Swedish side,

While waiting for Seymour Hersh to drop more inside details, I'd like to make some comments on the information flow in the intermediate aftermath of the #Nordstream explosions. Thread:
2/ The first media report I've been able to find is Danish Jyllandsposten dated at 7PM Monday26. That's 17hours after the first explosion. jyllands-posten.dk/indland/ECE144…
3/ Jyllandsposten credits Reuters for info that the operators of NS2 discovered "leak" at night. I can't find the original Reuter report now. Can anyone help? Image

Here, on camera, is the Seymour Hersh interview on #NordstreamSabotage published in Berliner Zeitung earlier this week.

This is not a guy who's been fooled by a single source.

Watch!

At 22:42 Hersh is very clear that European and American pipeline owners know the story and "it's there for the taking". It's like a serious warning to other journalists. Talk to those owners, or embarrass yourself even more.
3/ 20:00 - 20:51 Hersh talks about bombs not working, there was panic, other agencies were called.
When listening it's not 100% clear that the unexploded bombs are left on the bottom.

I talked to an experienced pilot about the reliability of flight tracking data for military aircraft. Here is what I learned/got confirmed.

1. It's unthinkable to fly in controlled European airspace with tracking turned off. It's a safety violation.
2/ Every flight is reported by dozens of amateurs who pick up the signal, it's on their local computers so can't be scrubbed from databases without possible "Streisand effect", -oh it's removed .. interesting, let's look at the hard disk. Why this flight? Tweet...
3/When the P-8A aircraft descends below controlled airspace and turn off ADS-B tracking, As they did before the sabotage, there is no obligation to report to civilian air traffic control, and no civilian means of seeing the aircraft.

@BillyBostickson @mortymer001

Sy Hersh dropped another tiny clue today in a German interview. Apparently the low frequency sonar communications was proven technology from Raytheon.
2/ The "routine" -to fly a P8-aircraft near surface for four hours at night, 4 days in a row, seems unique. I've been scrolling through radarbox and similar sites for all P8-missions worldwide since last summer and seen nothing like it.
3/ Of course there could be other reasons to look for submarines in the Baltic on Sept 23, 24, 25 and 26, but the uniqueness of doing this four days in a row rings a bell. Perhaps the "routine" was created just as cover.
