In Wales @WelshGovernment ignore the voices of concerned women & plough on, intent on destroying our sex-based rights

But Welsh women will not be subdued, dismissed or ignored any longer

Hello Mr Drakeford @PrifWeinidog

Women representing several concerned grassroots groups took their concerns in a silent protest directly to our First Minister today

His talk was entitled ‘Wales: The Big Picture’

Well @PrifWeinidog your gender-addled plans will harm women & children in Wales

That’s OUR big picture

We say #NoToSelfID

Welsh women say NO #NoToSelfID @PrifWeinidog @WelshGovernment

You have not learnt from the debacle of the Scotland GRR Bill

You are not reading the room

We do not want harmful gender ideology rolled out across Wales

NO
And so we are clear - NO to men in women’s sports, NO to men in women’s changing rooms, toilets, rape crisis, dv centres, prisons, NO to mixed-sex wards and intimate care. NO

Oh - and lesbians are same-sex attracted females too - never male

Add that to your ‘big picture’

We also wrote to @ReformUK about their reaction to the Supreme Court judgment - they now have one Senedd MS in @LauraJ4SWEast.

We asked that they set out their position for the elections in 2026, and address their awful messaging about men in women’s prisons.

Our letter 👇

The response of @ReformUK in Wales, received from @LauraJ4SWEast.

Straightforward, uncomplicated and unequivocal on the rights of women and girls in Wales.

Thank you Laura Anne 👏

2/ Image
And on that issue of men in women’s prisons that the party leader got into such a mess about?

Well, that’s better.

Should have listened to @LauraJ4SWEast first time round @Nigel_Farage

We also wrote to @Plaid_Cymru, (the party of Wales apparently), following the Supreme Court judgment.

Plaid have aspirations in the Senedd elections of 2026. Surely they would have a lot to say to the female electorate of Wales on the rights of women and girls?

Here’s their response to our letter sent in early May 2025.

That’s right. Nothing to say.

@RhunapIorwerth usually has a lot to say. He had nothing to say to us about the Supreme Court judgment.

Perhaps you’d like to rectify that Rhun? We’re all ears.

2/
Perhaps @Plaid_Cymru find themselves compromised by these statements which are still on their website, and in direct conflict with the Supreme Court judgment.

Until clarified, we can only presume they will breach the law and care not a jot about women’s rights.

Despite only having one representative in the Senedd, the @WelshLibDems also received a letter from us about the Supreme Court judgment.

The response from @DoddsJane was prompt, measured and relatively reasonable on the surface.

However, there were concerning aspects to their response.

There is nothing ambiguous about the judgement @WelshLibDems. Nor is it ‘complex’.
It’s crystal clear.

The issue is your party got it wrong. You failed women. You should have listened to @LibVoice4Women.

2/ Image
The response gets it hopelessly wrong on single-sex spaces and fails to understand the Supreme Court judgment.

There is no ‘case by case basis’. Women’s single sex spaces are just that - for women. Not for men.

@WelshLibDems must educate themselves.

Following the Supreme Court judgment, WRN Wales also wrote to @WelshLabour via our own First Minister Eluned Morgan.

We aimed to see if they would give a stronger commitment than that immediately following the judgment - and address their past wrongs.

There followed a meeting 👇, with Minister @JaneHutt. So at least the @PrifWeinidog made this happen.

The approach of @WelshGovernment though consists of ‘waiting for the EHRC guidance’.

Not good enough. Policies are in breach of the judgment and delay is not acceptable.

2/
This recent letter from our First Minister assures us of a further meeting.

However, there is a complete failure to grasp the implications of the judgment now, the damage that is being wreaked on women’s rights in Wales, and no acknowledgment or apology to women’s groups.

In an FOI response, @WelshGovernment stated they had sent a Ministerial letter to Baroness Falkner at the @EHRC.
That letter was from Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice Jane Hutt.

But we can exclusively reveal there’s even more!

Is this letter:

a) Pompous?
b) Dismissive of the rights of women and girls?
c) Desperate to avoid accountability?
d) All three?

Good news! we have an ‘alternative version’.

If you thought the above letter was pompous, dismissive and desperate, then try this draft version instead!

‘Found’ underneath the back seat of a bus disembarking at the Senedd by an eagle eyed woman/secret agent #26451.

What do you think @WelshGovernment’s considered response to the EHRC consultation following the Supreme Court judgment would be?
3 options to follow!

Will it be:
a) An impeccably logical analysis of the draft guidance, providing useful commentary?

Nope. Not that at all.
1/5 Image
Or is it:
b) An empassioned examination of where the TQ+ will be disadvantaged by discovering they never legally had the ‘rights’ (entitlements) Welsh Government told them they had?

Nope. Not that either.

2/5
Or could it be:

c) A level headed acknowledgement of the restoration and protection of the rights of women and girls to privacy, dignity, safety and fairness?

Only joking. OF COURSE NOT.
