The first way (and this is not intended to be self-promotion) is my Twitter community. All sorts of genealogy blog posts, and dilemmas are here. I will work on bringing discussions into this as well. To join, go here: twitter.com/i/communities/…
Way number two (and the majority of this thread) will be using Twitter lists. They are not my favourite, but with the feeds being loopy - this might be the primary way I see things now.
To find the lists feature, if you're on your PC, see picture one, phone - picture two.

1/ When you're on the lists page, click the button at the top right to create a list, give it a name, and a description and then create.
It is up to you whether you would like to make the list private.

2/ Then add who you want to, then hit done.
Then, what I'd recommend doing is pinning your lists. This will allow you to see them in your timeline like so. You can easily alternate between them as you like.

There is a limit as you can only have 5 lists pinned at any one time.

There are some limits however, you can not have more than 5,000 accounts in one list and you can not have any more than 1,000 lists on any one account (although, I'm not sure if anyone would need that many!)
Here are some suggestions in terms of list ideas you could use.
1. Following - a list of ALL accounts you follow.
2. Regulars - those who you do not want to miss anything from.
3. [Interest name] - have an interest in a certain area? Add accounts that interest you.

I hope this will be of use to some people but it's probably the best way of keeping connected on here. The lists feature might not be for everyone but it's worth having a go anyway!
