A thread on using better judgment on following, liking, and retweeting content from subversive propaganda accounts, and/or foreign influence trolls who operate behind anonymity.

Because not all anonymous bullshit accounts are as obvious as #Qanon

If you're following anonymous accounts that obsessively post at all hours of the day and night, hundreds of thousands of times within a few years, or thousands of times within just a few months after creating their account, you're following an inauthentic propaganda account.

If the anonymous account you follow engages in personalized attacks on strangers, uses propoganda sites/fake news/tabloids to defend their attacks, & comments on every single mention of any single topic or person, then you're following a paid disinformation agent/psycho or both

If the anonymous troll you're following went from armchair epidemiologist to expert on Russia, foreign affairs, climate change, medicine, vaccines, Amber Heard, legal scholar, doctor and "political insider," then they're a propaganda agent paid to create confusion/division/hate.

Whether automated, semi-automated or run by multiple paid operatives (like the stalker/propaganda account MaxNordau), look at the tweet activity of an account hiding behind anonymity before you share their tweets or give them attention. Look at who they interact with most.

Elon/Twatter profits off trolls - they boost the number of tweets, retweets, users and activity. Especially when you engage with them.

Like the Facebook whistleblower revealed years ago, companies profit when the discourse on their sites is full of anger, hate and fear.

Even though Twatter does nothing to stop these accounts, even when they violate TOS, or commit criminal stalking/harassment, you should still report these accounts so that when twatter gets that call from the FBI, there will be a paper trail proving twatter knew & did nothing.
