It is the time period when one MD ends and the next one is about to begin. The period of Dasha Sandhi acts like a bridge or junction between the current and the next MD.
This is the time when the momentum of one Dasha starts to die down and -. #VedicAstrology
The momentum of next Dasha starts to build up. The last AD in any MD is responsible for the transition of our Journey from one to another MD and the last AD period is called 'Dasha Chidra' or 'Chidra Dasha'.
The period of Dasha Sandhi usually constitutes 10% -
If ending MD + 10% of the starting MD but the period is usually definite in my opinion.
In a certain MD, not only are thought process or environment is set in a particular way but our body also get used to the patterns created during that time period.
So it becomes difficult for our body to accommodate the change of energies with changing dasha suddenly which is how the concept of Dasha Sandhi came into play.
Dasha Sandhi is also seen as an important aspect in matching of horoscopes for the couple.
It is not advisable for two people to get married if they are going through the period of Dasha Sandhi at the same time.
Let's understand the Dasha Sandhi for different MDs now.
Please note that this a general interpretation, a lot depends on planet's position. #VedicAstrology

This is a method of superimposing your D9 chart on your D1. It is widely used in Nadi Jyotish.
Analysing this chart can clearly tell you whether all the yogas of your D1 chart would fructify or not.
Identify your D1 Ascendant in the navamsa chart.
Make that as your ascendant in navamsa chart.
Now read the chart and analyse how planets have changed their position from your D1 chart. In simple words, compare the two charts.
If the planet goes into the same signs, it is called Vargottama.
If planet goes to the next sign from its placement in D1, it's called Dhanamsa.
If planet falls in 3rd from its position, it's called vikramsa.
If planet falls in 4th, it's called Sukhamsa.
Rahu- Ketu both are warriors.
One fights with the mind while the other fights with the body.
There are different views on the exaltation and debilitation signs of Rahu & Ketu.
Some consider it to be Tau-Sco while others consider it to be Gem-Sag.
I personally do not consider any exaltation and debilitation for Rahu & Ketu. But Rahu does really well in Mercury's signs while Ketu does well in Jupiter's signs.
Like i mentioned above both Rahu & Ketu are warriors and the 3H-9H axis is the axis of war.
12 Adityas: The 12 forms of Sun God, 12 sons of Maa Aditi and Rishi Kashyap.
Each one of them rules over one month of lunar calendar and are also responsible for the formation of 12 signs of the zodiac with Sun's energy transit/motion around the Earth.
Sun represents our individual soul. As Sun transit through each sign every month, the ruling Aditya shines in the sky. Thus all 12 Adityas represents time and changes that comes with it.
Adityas are responsible for the proper functioning of the universe.
There are 10 Mahavidya associated with 9 planets and lagna.

Every form of Mahavidya represents the complete knowledge related to the planet.
These 10 Devis are known as the tantric form of the Divine Mother so it advised that a person should only worship these 10 forms of Maa under proper guidance & knowledge.
AL is extensively used in Jaimini system of Astrology and has been mentioned in detail in BPHS as well. It's not just that it is mentioned in other classics as well.
Arudha Lagna is usually projected as the maya or illusion.
It is believed that AL shows how we are perceived by the world i.e other people.
However in my opinion there is more to Arudha Lagna than just being the illusion or the perceived Lagna.
Arudha or "आरूढ़" means "that which is mounted."
We calculate 'pada' of every house in Jaimini system of Astrology and that's how we get the Arudha Lagna and Upapada Lagna.
We trace the footsteps of the house to where it's image falls in.
So in simple terms, Arudha Lagna is the reflection of your past lives -
Sagittarius in Sanskrit is 'Dhanu' which we can relate to 'dhanus' i.e the bow.
As you can see in the symbol it's a half horse half man holding the bow and arrow. It's also called the sign of Archer.
The symbol of half human half man represents duality as it is one of the dual signs but having half animal in the symbol indicates that these natives fights with their animal instinct.
Horses in ancient times were used by the kings & warriors to travel -
Long distances and they represents agility and endurance. This tells us that the Sagittarius sign is the sign of long term things.
The Archer in the symbol is aiming high which indicates that these natives have high goals in life.
