The case which enable intact trans-identified males to be transferred to women’s prisons in the UK was launched by a sex offender and murderer who was himself seeking to undergo genital surgery.
Mark Jones, aka Karen Jones, had killed a man who refused to pay for his surgeries.

Jones murdered his partner Michael Cutler and changed his name to Karen Louise Lawson by deed poll while in prison.

Five days after he was released, Jones attempted to rape a female shop assistant at a shop which provides lingerie, estrogen, and silicone "female" prosthetics.

Jones claimed the attempted rape was a "cry for help" so he could go back to prison and receive a sex change on the public dime.
Jones was told that he had to spend time "as a woman" to qualify for surgery, and was transferred to the female prison estate.

Harvey Marcelin, 84, who identifies as a transgender lesbian and uses the name Marceline Harvey, was arrested in March 2022 for the murder of Susan Leyden, 68, whose body he had dismembered.
He is awaiting trial in a women’s facility at Rikers Island.

With two prior murder convictions, he was granted access to a shelter for women, where he was interacting with his third victim - despite objections from the staff.

Monica Archer, who was employed at a senior shelter, filed a lawsuit last year claiming she was fired after she warned her bosses that the serial killer had made threats against her life while she worked there.

Marcelin first began to 'identify as a woman' while in prison for his second murder, where he met a transgender inmate who encouraged him to take estrogen.
He described his male “side” as a “pimp” and blamed his female victims for inciting him to violence.

Dana Rivers, born David Warfield, who identifies as transgender and as a lesbian, was a prominent trans activist prior to murdering a lesbian couple and their son.
Rivers was convicted in November 2022 of murder in the first degree for the 2016 slayings.

Rivers became known in 1999 after he was fired from Center High School in Sacramento County, California, for openly discussing his “sexuality and the importance of gender self-determination” in class with students.

According to a 1999 article in The New York Times, one parent stated that “[Rivers] said he had been sodomized as a youth and that he always felt he was a woman trapped in a man’s body and that he was going to be changing into a woman in the fall.”

Rivers had been a participant in Camp Trans, a group created in protest of a women-only event that Rivers’ victims attended.
Camp Trans at one point distributed flyers which read "real women have cocks". The term "TERF" originated directly from this clash.

Describing his attempt to enter MichFest, Rivers compared himself to lesbian women there, stating that although they had been "born with vaginas … it was obvious to me that I was more female than they were... I belong among other womyn as surely as I need to sit down to pee.”

Perry Cerf, 39, was arrested for the sadistic rape and murder of Ecuadorian immigrant Flor Andrade in 2002. Cerf, who now uses the name Michelle Hel-loki Angelina, was wearing his victim’s clothes and utilizing her ID when he was found by police.

While awaiting trial, Cerf penned a letter to the press confessing to the crime and boasted about drinking the woman’s blood.

"I drank and licked and lapped up my fill … I am Lucifer’s Maiden servant, sent to earth born of sin, to bring suffering and pain, darkness and evil."

Cerf said he drank the woman's blood "so I could allow this person to live vicariously through myself."
Prosecutors offered him a 40-year sentence for rape and murder but he took a 50-year sentence to avoid a rape conviction, as a sex charge presented "a safety concern" for him.

Cerf, despite a lifelong history of violence against women, was transferred to a NJ women's prison, where was allowed to marry a female inmate and received breast implants, subsidized by the state. Cerf reportedly terrorizes the incarcerated women.

Thomas Lamb, 81, now uses the name Michelle Renee Lamb and is described as “female” in the state Criminal Justice Information System. Lamb was transferred to Topeka Correctional Facility for women in January 2023, in a reversal from a 2017 court decision.

Lamb was convicted of kidnapping and murdering Karen Sue Kemmerly, a 24 year-old student at the University of Kansas-Missouri, around December 5, 1969. He was also convicted for the abduction of 18-year-old Patricia Ann Childs, which he committed the month after the killing.

Lamb bound Childs’ hands and raped her, according to court documents, though he was never formally charged for the sexual assault.

After Lamb killed Kemmerly, he stole her clothing and left her body nude in a cornfield. When arrested, he was in possession of her belongings.

Lamb killed Kemmerly after she said he was a "handsome man," which sent him into a violent rage as he saw himself as a woman.

He later said that he "thought he was a girl" when he carried out the crimes against the two women, and his doctor blamed the "female version" of Lamb.

The killer’s mother, Hazel Irene Lamb, told prosecutors she had found women’s undergarments in her son’s dresser beginning from the time he was about ten years old. "I found my panties I had discarded in the rag bag in his dresser drawer," she said.

Lamb was given "female undergarments" by the KDOC, with the intimate clothing called "therapeutic for Lamb’s gender dysphoria." He has also been provided with estrogen and testosterone-blocking drugs.
He was transferred to a women's prison despite having previously been denied.

Adam Laboucan, or Tara Desousa, raped an infant and confessed to killing a child. He was transferred to the Fraser Valley Institution for Women and is housed next to a Mother-Child Program residence, where inmates say he has been "staring" at the children.

In 1997, Adam Laboucan sexually assaulted a three-month-old baby boy who required reconstructive surgery afterwards.

During the trial, an expert witness stated that Laboucan displayed "everything from transsexual to pedophilic tendencies."

Due to the horrific nature of the crime, Laboucan was handed a rare indeterminate prison sentence in 1999 at the age of 17, and was declared the nation’s youngest criminally violent sex offender.
He is now identifying as a "woman" and has boasted of having a "vagina".

Donna Rebecca Perry, born Douglas Robert Perry, murdered three prostituted women in 1990. Despite this, he is currently being housed at the Washington Correctional Center for Women after securing a transfer under self-identification laws.

Perry avoided suspicion and fled to Thailand in 2000 to undergo "gender reassignment surgeries," after which he successfully concealed his identity for years.
During the trial, Perry accused his "male" side of having committed the crimes while his "female" identity was innocent.

Perry was convicted of 3 murders but claims to have killed 9 women total.
