On tolls - the government fools all the people all the time with such ease. Toll charge continues even after cost of the road is recovered. At the very least the contract and escalation should end. Since traffic is increasing- there should be new bids. Nothing happens #TollJhol

Some more general knowledge: Traffic on the Expressway & for that matter MOST tolled roads is far higher than original estimates. So the escalation clause ought to be scrapped and NEW BIDS CALLED. WHY DOESN'T IT HAPPEN? BECAUSE OUR ELECTED REPS AND BUREAUCRATS DONT WORK FOR US!
Adding. For those who are asking seemingly innocent questions like ‘who will maintain’ if we generous souls don’t pay toll- simple answer- we are paying road tax and hefty cess on fuel precisely to find road infrastructure! Started in 1990s at Re1. Do some homework & check now!
BTW find it hard to believe people are so clueless about multiple ways they are taxed. Either you have never paid tax or are part of IT cells of toll franchisees!
