Sale of passenger vehicles in India grew the fastest in a decade in FY23 to hit a record 3.9 million units. But which one was the bestselling of them all?
For the 2nd time in a row #WagonR was #1 growing 12.4% at 2.12 lakh units.
Its the highest ever annual tally for the tall boy
#SUVs maybe all the rage in the market but small cars continue to rule the charts & WagonR is no exception. The top 4 are all hatchbacks--#Baleno at #2 (2.03 lakh 37% growth), #Swift at #3 (1.77 lakh up 5.4%) & #Alto at #4 (1.77 lakh up 22%). #bestsellingcars
Tata #Nexon retains the tag of India's best selling #SUV growing by a hefty 39% at 1.72 lakh units putting it comfortably ahead of the 3 other SUVs--#Creta (#7 : 1.5 lakh up 27%) #Brezza (#8 : 1.46 lakh up 28%) & #Punch at #9 that grew the fastest at 154% (1.34 lakh units).
The only sedan and MPV on the list are the #Dzire (#6 : 1.5 lakh up 38.5%) & #Eeco (#10 : 1.31 lakh up 21%).
First time in many years that #Tata has 2 cars on the list while #Hyundai has one. #Venue got punched out of the list. #bestseller
